  • Re: New Me for 2007 New Years Challenge!

Hey guys! I have been super duper bad, but I am back on the wagon now... I slipped way up and for way too long... In 5 days I have managed to show a 13lb gain on the scale this morning!!! YIKES I know a lot of it is water, but sheesh! Why do I do this to myself! I have proably sabotaged my new years goal- but thats ok... I will do this and in time I will accomplish my goals... so I am sitting here at my computer with my big bottle of water ready to flush my system out!!!!

Julie- congrats on another loss! you are donig fab!
Shilo- awesome goals girlfriend! I too believe that this is our new foundation!
Jess- thats cool about the children's conference! I think you're doing awesome and are an incredible person!!!

    My goals for 2007 are-

OBVIOUSLY to be a healthier person, in addition to that come the bonuses- looking good in a bathingsuit, being able to keep up with everyone! lol
to build more clientele for myself!
to go on a tropical vacation somewhere!
    to be a better housekeeper!
and like you guys, I am sure more will be on the way~

So look out everyone!!!! I'm back and kicking! I will not fail at this because I know I can do it! I have before and there is no reason I can't now!!! off to
Caution I BITE! clicky clicky..its tricky rikki!

Hello, I would like to take this challenge, but I want to lose to 180 by New years. I started this diet on Saturday and I was at 208-210. Lets say 210, so that is 30 pounds. I may be wanting too much, but nothing ventured, nothing gained (or should that be lost?)

Thanks! I am going to pop into my docs either the day before, or the closest first day possible to New Years and weigh-in. She is part of this, after all. She will probably be my best cheerleader.

Wow, I dont pop my head in for a couple of days, and this thread is moving!!!!

Rikki - Congrats on picking yourself up and starting again! You can do it girl!!

Jess - You are such a motivation!

Juli - Congrats on your loss!

Shilo - I loved your goals, and Im heading off to find your journal today

MustLose - Welcome to the "new me for 2007!" Its wonderful that you have your Dr's support in this. I too, have a great Dr who is 100% supportive of Atkins, and it helps me so much!

Well where to begin *grins* I started metformin last Friday, and have to say I have never been so thirsty in all my life. Water intake has gradually increased, so I am feeling much better about it 68oz plus yesterday!

No huge sideaffects from the med's - meaning nothing uncontrollable, and its lowered my blood sugar by a full point!

Last night I didnt manage to get to the gym, but after dinner I dressed my two little ones and we walked to my sisters house, which is just over 8km's (5 miles). I was so proud of my girls! My eldest had no trouble going the distance, she's 7, whilst my youngest I only had to piggy back twice *grins* I tell you I definitely noticed the weight on my back, when walking uphill!

Stay positive everyone! 2007 is just around the corner!

Loser4life, you can do it. Just think about that goal first and foremost in your mind. Write it in the bathroom mirror, put it on the refrigerator and if you don't, start again making a menu and a shopping list only from that menu...that is the easiest way to stay on track. I don't need to lose quite a hundred, but the Century Club recruited me over for the water challenge and it works!!! My only secret to being able to do that is drinking no less than 56 oz. first thing in the morning even before a shower, or anything else. You can do it!!! I have faith in you. You are such a pretty girl and I see accomplishment in your face. :smile
