      Hey I weighed this morning and am 2lb. down...putting me at 8/20...don't know if I'll LOSE 20 by Jan 1, but I'm getting closer!

        I decided I have another goal for 2007. I want to learn to drive a standard. Yeah that has alot to do with Atkins, I know . But I did make alot of exercise goals for December, so we'll see how that goes.

              Hello,

              I am still in, but I am a little down. I am on day 12 and I got weighed yesterday. I am only down 4 pounds. I know I should be happy, but the previous time on Atkins, I was down much more by this time. Actually, I didn't really start to lose weight continuously until the third week. Maybe I am expecting too much. i was afraid I might be asking too much of myself to lose 30 in 4.5 weeks, but it happened for me the first time....I heard it is harder the second time around.

                4lbs is 4lbs is 4lbs!!!! thats great!!! Don't be disappointed! You are donig great and if you continue to work at it the weight will continue to come off!!!!! I believe it is definitely harder the second time around and for me the 3rd, 4th, 5th, etc!!!! you've lost 16 stick of butter girlfriend! Thats fab!!!!!

                          Okay I was reading this thread and had to comment. I went to the dealership in march looking for a car. My credit is kind of crappy so it was a I'll take what I can get deal. Well I wound up with a 2006 Chevy Aveo...standard transmission. I had never drove one, they taught me how to drive it on the lot that day. I am driving like a PRO now! You can do it!!!

                            I also went to a dealership once that told me they would teach me... I am not looking to buy a new car though, just drive soemone elses standard! lol, I like my automatic! hehe

                              Ok well I know some of you read my journal chat, so you'd know I've slipped off the AWOL this week due to stress, and mainly hospital food!

                              So since yesterday, I am now back to what my carb intake should be *does the happy dance* - killer headache today though which I think is caused by the sugars I had.

                              I didnt weigh or measure myself this week, (though I've snuck sneaky looks at the scale and its not good!) and Im still not back into ketosis either *sighs*

                              However, I am determined and I am better prepared!

                              The good old eliptical trainer and I had a battle yesterday, with me just winning the 3.1 mile hike. Ive done 100 crunches, and today though I am sore, I will be hoping back on my devil machine, and doing my crunches once more!

                              TOM still hasnt arrived as yet - (about 5 days overdue now) and I swear I have never had such sore boobies as I had this week! I do think its the metformin kicking in and making all these hormones start swirling around!

                              Speaking of TOM - I know I put on/or retain fluid around this time and its generally around or up to 5 pounds - whats the average for you guys?

                                I can somehow manage to fluctuate up to 9lbs at any time!!! lol however, tom gain is usually around 4-5lbs for me...
