Re: Cleaning it all up for Christmas

BeckySue, I'm so glad you joined us. Yes, not long until Christmas, but long enough to get you firmly into ketosis and back under control...and that's what this is all about.

Julie, you made it through a BIG weekend of temptations, Rock ON girlfriend!

Aimee, sounds like you did perfect at the Chinese restaurant. They are so hard with all those syrupy sauces on everything. Next time, if you want, you can have the green tea as long as you sweeten with splenda or your artificial sweetner of choice.

Sam, do you ever use a pedometer? You might be surprised how much you really are doing...especially if you are on a very large campus.

Sher, sounds like you had a fun weekend. It's great having your mom support you. And that's AWESOME about your win at bingo! That's a present in itself! WOOHOO Shop til you drop girlie! Get yourself something nice too.

Silly, my weights bobbling around too. This morning back up over 200. I just wanted to cry. But, keeping it in perspective....it's TOM.

Today was a relaxing day. I walked briskly (3mph) for 2 miles on the treadmill today while watching a show about dieters. ((LoL)) I also did the exercise ball push-ups. (20 of those). I also got housework and bedclothes washed! (woot!) That was all my exercise for the day.

My first day back to our WOE was a good one. I am on my way to a slimmer me. I am happy to be back and to be taking this journey with all you STACers.

I did walk one brisk mile this afternoon. Tomorrow I will do more.
I ate pretty close to induction today. I am one that has trouble with yeast, so I have to be careful to keep it under control. Or at least TRY!

I'll check back tomorrow. Keep on,Keepin on!

I do use one when I remember. Between walking around campus and at work all over our call center floor, there a have been a few days where I've logged in around 5 miles. I don't even realize it.

            Yay Becky!

Planning for today and how it's panning out: Because I boiled eggs over the weekend, breakfast was a snap. 3 boiled eggs, some mayo...voila! egg salad, slice up some jicama and I am a happy woman.

I brought the leftover Chicken Cacciatore for lunch today and tomorrow. I'm sure by tomorrow I'll be sick of it. BUT, I've got a good hot lunch.

I brought my clothes again, so I'm going to go run on my lunch hour....need to get some mileage in for the triathlon.

Oh, and I refilled my water bottles and brought those with me too.

The only thing I didn't do was bring something for a snack. Yesterday I ended up having to work late, didn't have a snack and by the time I got home I was ravenous. When I'm ravenous, I'll eat FAR more than I normally would.

Re: Cleaning it all up for Christmas

Hello all! I had a ravenous day yesterday, and I drank a lot of water, so I'm hoping my body is going to shed some weight for me this week. I pushed myself on the treadmill...I did 5 triathalon miles, doing distance intervals. I've noticed that I can run each interval faster...I did this on Saturday and only ran at 6mph. Last night I ran between 6.2-6.5mph. I only ran 2.5 and walked 2.5 but I was SOOOO sweaty and tired when I was done...but it was a good feeling! I think this triathalon will really push me, exercise wise.

Oooh and I tried jicama last night, I really like it! It reminds me of an unripe pear...when they're still crunchy...very good. I brought some today for a snack.

Re: Cleaning it all up for Christmas

Hey guys, I hope I didn't get to this challange too late? I'd love to start getting clean it's not that i'm cheating it's it's more like I'm just not as hungry as I use to be so I don't intake my full 20 grams of carbs a day for the last week or so. More between 10-15. I'm on extended induction for the next 2 weeks and will deside if I want to continue on that rung. Also I have a secret... I haven't exercised at all since I started induction Nov 5 and feel real crapy about letting my gym mem go to waste but I want to get back ASAP matter fact I will start tomorrow morning. So the things I want to clean up are
                -Exercise 5X per week
-Eat 20 g carbs per day
                -Weigh in every other week
                SD: 11/05/06 HW: 272+ SW: 237
CW 210 :WTF? Yeah I know I blame it on the Cruise 08
                205 ... New Sweater
                200... New Sweater
195... New Sweater (get the picture)
190... Sexy PJs for the PaJami Jam (Ski Trip Event)
                GW 185lbs SKI TRIP 09

Please God Help me stay strong I don't want to wear the same sweaters from last year LOL!

Re: Cleaning it all up for Christmas

Jules, my DH said the same thing about the jicama...kinda like an unripe pear. I just love the stuff. Way to go on the intervals.

Msidea, welcome! Cleaning it all up is what this about. Some of us have more to clean up than others LOL Glad you're joining us. CONGRATULATIONS on meeting your mini goal today. That's got to feel fabulous for you. Well, missy, what are you going to do for your exercise? Oh, and as far as getting your 20 grams in, aim for the higher carb veggies....like my veggie best friend JICAMA. I love that stuff...if they sold stock in it, I'd have to own some. Consider going ahead and moving into OWL rung 1 which is just more veggies. It allows you some flexibility in what veggies you choose...for instance, the ability to eat spinach instead of lettuce as a base for your salad. You can still keep your carbs at 20, but allow yourself more flexibility in what types of veggies you are eating. Just a suggestion.
Anyway, your pictures are gorgeous, you are well on your way to being STUNNING! And, who is that cutie pie in your middle picture?

Hi Msideal! You're in the right place--one of my goals is to really challenge myself on the exercise...Oooh yes consider moving to OWL. It was SO nice to have more options for veggies--very satisfying. MY favorite veggie is spaghetti squash...yummmmmmmm with butter and cheese...OOOH I just figured out what to have for dinner! LOL

By the way, what an amazing transformation so far! You're absolutely gorgeous!

                      Hi everyone!
Today is the 2nd day of cleaning up my WOE. I am ready for bed, but had to stop by and report that I did good today. I ate correct, I exercised, did my WATP(2 mile brisk walk), drank my water (slosh slosh). So tomorrow is day number 3. I am focused and ready.
                      See you tomorrow.
                      Happy Low Carbing!

Lisa, I TOTALLY know what you mean. All has been right in my world for about 4 days now. YAY!

Okay, today I'm cleaning up the following:
                          1) I WILL exercise at lunch
                          2) I WILL exercise after work
                          3) I brought snack food (pepperoni and cream cheese) to have something in the PM about an hour before my workout.
                          4) I have my water going down the gullet.
                          5) I ate breakfast this morning and brought lunch.
                          6) I am journaling

My plans for today are as follows:
Keep my carbs around 25. Yesterday I was at 29, which makes me a little bit nervous...and truthfully, I probably SHOULD be increasing my carbs more significantly, but I don't want to lose less weight each week.
Go to Kickboxing Class. I didn't go to Monday's class because of a horrible sub, so I hope the REAL teacher is there tonight!
Do a 1 or 2 mile warm up. I need those triathalon miles!
Drink a gallon of water. Yesterday I was at about 100, today I want the whole gallon gone!

julirama, you will not lose less if you up your carbs! Try upping it to 29 for a week straight and see what happens. You might be surprised! And you can always drop back down! All I know is when I increased my carbs to 30-35, that's when I dropped my final few pounds.

My plan today is to actually eat food! I was really, really bad yesterday and only had a chicken breast all day. Go ahead and slap me silly! Here, I'll do it for you guys
