    Hello All!

Abstract, you'll be able to ditch the caffiene in no time! Man, I don't envy you though...I had a tougher withdrawal from caffiene than I did from carbs, bleccchhh.

Well hey these 30g of carbs are suiting me well--I am down a total of 3.5lb for the week, and so far I have lost 50lb! I'm only 35lb away from my "goal" but I might be re-thinking that magic number of 180...I will wait until it's the time to move to pre-maintenance (190) and decide if I want to change my goal weight to 170.

Today I plan on drinking a gallon of water, having an intense workout at the gym (but have not decided if I'm doing treadmill, legs+running, or full body yet) and I'm going to do some laundry...our bedroom floor looks like an archaeological dig...remnants of past civilizations everywhere.

Ok guys. Today is my first day back, so all I want to be able to do is stay on plan. 20g induction carbs for the day. And I'd like to exercise. If I can do both, I'm gonna call today a success.

Actually, wait -- today I'm going to start my Christmas baking -- Pumpkin Gingerbread Loaves and homemade Pumpkin Butter. I have to take it to a Christmas Party tonight. So, if I can resist and just enjoy the smells, I will be happy.

To prepare for the party, I'm going to make sure I eat dinner before I go and stick to the veggie trays at the party if I want to snack.

Okay, maybe I have more goals for today than I thought!

Now I'm off to the Chiropractor for maintenance of another type of well-ness!

Hi All you Atkineer STAC friends!! I just had to drop by and report that after my re-induction to the Atkins WOEing. I have lost 5 pounds in 5 days!!! I am so pumped.

So right now I have chicken baking in the oven for me and a skillet of chicken frying on the burner for my DH. So we both have chicken and we will both be happy. He will eat my baked chicken, but he doesn't like it much. So with my excitement of the 5 pound loss. There is NO way I am eating his fried chicken today.

Hope all of you are having a great LC Day. I am!!!
Happy Low Carbing!!! Class Reunion in June, here I come.
I do need to lose another 40 pounds to be at goal.

Big super duper hugs and congrats on losing the 50 pounds, Juili!!! Woo hooo!!!!!! I'm so proud of you!

Becky Sue....wo hooo!!!!! On ditching 5 pounds. Aaah..doesn't that feel great!!! Look out folks at the class reunion!

Rybread...how'd you do with all that baking and preparing and climbing on board for Induction? Did you happen to put on duct tape over your mouth? I know I'd have to with all that cooking. In fact, I think I'll have to when my girls want to put together their gingerbread house this weekend.

Misideal...you get a double Ye haw (Ye haw) for me ditching that nugget! So proud of you!!! Baby steps is all we can take sometimes, and that, my friend, was a giant baby step.

Joy....what a great DH you have!!! Sounds like you had one awesome evening out sticking to your guns and taking care of you!

Abstract....wow, you are a busy gal! Great plan on changing things up that work for you! At least you have super nice friends and a boss at work that try to keep you hydrated Best wishes on the project!

***And super hugs and loves to those who haven't posted back in a while or are lurking around and not sure to pop in and say hi.

Okay, my turn. Last night was DH's Christmas party. Normally I'd be the one drinking right along side him, but not last night. Let me back up the horse a minute and explain.

Since I started this new journey of cleaning it up (Thanks to Joy, again), I've been on the straight and narrow with Induction. So, I've been watchin what goes in my mouth, and dealing with gas...lol....yep, that gas.

Breakfast was: chili (2 tbl w/out beans), onion, cheese omlete
Lunch: Carls Jr's Guacamole Burger Protein Style (wrapped in lettuce w/out bun).
Dinner was: Prime rib, baked halibut, and baked pork tenderloin, w/purple & green salad, and shrimp cocktails at DH's work Christmas party.

The only major boo boo I did was OD on the diet pop yesterday because of avoiding the alcohol at the party. I was the Designated Driver for the evening and had the best time laughing at all the fools making fools of themselves. I spent a lot of time sitting on the patio swing in front of the fire either watching the fools or with my hubby outside the resturant. Yep, it was a great night.

Oh, and while I was out shopping yesterday I picked up a new sweat suit for only $12 at Ross, with the zip up jacket a size L and the pants a XL. I haven't worn an "L" in anything in such a long time! woohooo.

Hope everyone has an awesome day today! May the sun shine on your world where every you are.

Make it the best Sunday morning you've had in a very long time!

julirama -- way to go on the 50lbs lost!! I love reaching milestones like that. And for you to have reached it so quickly is so motivating! Upping my carbs late last year kickstarted my weightloss too - I had been plateaued for about 8 weeks, and then upping my carbs just made it all quickly start melting away again and I lost another 20 lbs which brought me to my lowest weight.

BeckySue -- Hurray on the 5 lbs in 5 days! I've read about your struggle with yeast. I'm rooting for you!!

Abstratct -- Thanks! I keep reminding myself of that - there is no better gift in the world than good health!

Lisa -- We both rocked the Christmas parties last night, it sounds like!!

I decided not to do any baking yesterday, and decided instead to bring something to the party that I could eat. Knowing how these parties have gone in previous years, its been almost all carbs because the hosts are vegetarians that are keen on the breads, pastas and beans. So instead I picked up a couple of shrimp rings from the grocery store on the way there. I stayed away from the shrimp sauce, munched on some shrimp, a bit of cheese, and veggies for the night. And guzzled my water as everyone else guzzled their wine.

It was HARD. The desserts looked so good, and it was so tempting to say "I can restart tomorrow!" But we all know what kind of downward spiral that is. So I resisted. And passed with flying colours. YES! I can do this!

Oh, and I forgot to mention my goals for today!

Today, my goals are another clean, good Induction day. Some exercise. And planning for the week.

Yesterday I met all my goals except exercise... but I'm trying to be realistic and remind myself that each day isn't going to be as perfect as I want it to be, and that I just need to roll with the punches and give it as best a try I can the next day. One day at a time. Basically, I'm trying to make sure I don't put unrealistic expectations on myself and set myself up for failure, like I did the last time.

Hi everyone, glad to see people doing well, way to go on the losses and getting through those parties!! i am taking notes for my own in 5 weeks time. You all are very motivating to me. Thanks!!

My parents left for vacation for a month today so we celebrated christmas yesterday, which was fun, i actually decorated my house i think i am sick lol i never decorate. My mom got me a couple of the things i was hoping for mainly a food processor and a grill, i took joy's recommendation and didn't get George instead asked for the Hamilton Beach one that is health smart. I am excited to use it. She also got me utensils that won't melt lol and a whole bunch of food storage containers and food saver containers so i am sll set to cook lol and chop and get things situated to store, but i am exhausted lol its been a rough couple weeks with marathon shopping but i am done now whoo hooo...

Soooo after all that what's the plan for today??? Welllllll i weighed myself and i have actually lost 3 lbs since i last weighed about 3 weeks ago, and honestly, i had been pretty lazy about the plan though sticking with it just not planning too well and my water has been non-existant even though i keep saying i am going to start drininking it again. And my exercise has only been walking around the malls shopping. Soo today i am cooking, chopping, slicing, storing etc for the week, i am updating my new myspace journal type thing as motivation, getting my work out clothes together for tomorrow, and setting my plan for the week. I have also given myself a pretty hefty goal of 25 lbs in 5 weeks. Its what i am working towards as our office christmas/New Year party is 5 weeks from yesterday and my parents come home in 4.5 weeks and i really want for them to see a huge difference. I think the look on my mom and dad's face will be great motivation.

Okay i am in a chatty mood today lol so i am going to hush now.
May you all be losers, Sher

                      It's Sunday night...

I forgot to make my daily plans today, 5:30 came up fast this morning. I guess the only plans I had was to remain in my pj's all day long, and cook up some soup and another dish for the week. All three were accomplished! lol

I made "Meatball Soup". Dh called it, "hamburger soup". lol.

1 pound of hamburger made into bitesize meatballs cooked with seasoning and 1 onion and 2 celery stocks in a large stock pot.
1 large container of beef broth plus 2 cups of water
                      3 TBLs of salsa
Cook for about 20 minutes and serve hot.

The whole pot is now gone as me and dh enjoyed the soup today while watching Pirates2. Yep, lovely day.

This week's plans though are going to be changed up a bit.
Exercise 20+ mins a day, plus my 50 ab crunchers and remind myself that anything over 20 minutes is free calorie burning.
Drink 100oz of water a day
Remember to take my vitamin EVERYDAY
                      Stay with Induction another week

                      Rock on!!!

Hey hey hey, today went great. I had to fast today and suprisingly when you have to fast you have no problem getting down the water. So I drank most not all but most my water intake for the day which i'm glad to say was 56 oz. And I convinced my mom to join me with this because I've desided to stay on induction till Dec 31. So I told her I would plan everything all she had to do was eat what I gave her and nothing else. Today was her first day. She was so proud of herself I was too. But lets hope she can stick with it. Its nice to have a buddy with atkins. Plus it doesn't help me when she's chomping away on a Chocolate Cadbury bar telling me how great my will power is LOL. Got in some exercise about 30min. Tomorrow I'm back to my 20 carbs so I'm glad. See you guys. Take care and stay strong.

I'm becoming addicted to SF decafe International House coffees with the weather turning colder/icer/snowier. I reallly need to step away from those little buggers. I ran out of mine so I opened a container that I had bought for one of my girls' teacher as a Christmas gift. How said is that??? Today, I shall plan on staying faaaaaar away as possible from those things and enjoy som hot decafe tea and more water. After all, we are talking about Cleaning it Up for Christmas, not adding things to our daily intake. lol....

                              Hey guys!

Been doing OK with my carb goal...it seems one day I'll be able to eat 30g, and then on the next day, I'll only make it to 24 or something. I'm thinking today will be a 30g day because I had yogurt and almonds for breakfast which put me at 8g already. I never thought it would be HARD to eat enough carbs...but I think because I'm on rung 5, the foods I eat aren't individually high enough in carbs...I dunno. I'm trying valiantly, though.

Exercise has been going really well--my body shape is changing, and my pants fit me completely differently now. It's kind of amazing. My boyfriend is always thinking I'm buying all these new clothes (identical to the old ones? apparently) because they fit in a new way...Nope I say, my body is just changing shape. Today is a day of rest, and since I switched a couple days around because of conflicts, today's the first day in over a WEEK I've had a break from exercise...which is not great, I know.

Last night I was proud of myself--I really controlled my portions. I put on about 1/2 what I would normally eat on a saucer...ate it and I felt very comfortable. I WAS hungry about 2 hours later, so I ate a serving of nuts (yep just one!) and that made me feel good...I just don't think I had enough fat with my meal (I don't know how that was possible, because I had chicken/broccoli alfredo with spaghetti squash...I mean, alfredo sauce is liquid fat) or it could be that my body needed fuel. I only ate like 1300 calories yesterday and burned about 600 of them at the gym...yikes.

So today I'm looking forward to drinking a gallon of water, resting my muscles, and spending a nice evening (well after work, and rehearsals, and tutoring, and school shopping) with my boyfriend.

                              Have a great day, all!

                                Hi Everyone, how's it going?

Its tough getting personal internet time during the week. My schedule is so packed I barely have time to sit down and cuddle my husband!

I'm still doing great! I will weigh myself Saturday, but know I have lost based on how my clothing feels. Hurray!

My food is still doing great too. At work, everyone's bringing in their office Christmas gifts, which has turned out to be chocolate, candy, nuts, and more chocolate. I have successfully resisted all of it. One person added pepperoni sticks to their gift, so after reading the ingredients label to see if it was legal, I had one of those, at least!

I just need to get cracking on exercise... argh.
