I'm still here too. Having a difficult time myself. Not drinking my water and eating a tad more than I know I should. I will concentrate on those things today (and tomorrow, and the day after etc!)

Hi guys! This week is a busy week with lots of conflicts and a day out of town, so I'm taking an extra day of rest, exercise wise. Usually I work out 5 or 6x a week, but this week I'm going for 4x. I promise to make them a GOOD 4 days!

As for my carbs, last night I was ALMOST at 30, not quite. I think once I get to the legumes level, I will be able to add some beans or soy milk in and up my carbs to 30, no problem.

I have been working on portion control, and been doing quite well with it. I'm noticing that the "urgency" of finishing my food or eating more is disappearing. I can eat a serving of nuts out of the can, and stop at 1 serving, not joking. It's just not a big deal to me. Many times I actually will stop before a serving, depending on my hunger level...I can just tell when I am finished, and I put the can away.

My weigh in is Friday...but this week is TOM so I'm not expecting a huge number. I will be happy with one pound gone!

I'm really thankful to have this thread to clean it up for Christmas.

Hang in there Ry & Silly.....I know things are tough right now, but just think of the refreshing water to keep our skin healthy and glowing, and the endorphins flowing from the exercise to help keep us happy through out the day.

Okay, so that's what I'm telling myself, too. lol. I actually put a new 5 gallon bottle of water on the cooler this morning. I think I've drank most of the water since I've been home from school all week.

Juli....you're doing a great job, girl! Keep it up!

Okay guys, here goes, for the last four day I've been on track proud of myself except for the water. Never can seem to have enough hours in the day to get down the last 12 oz or so but I am trying. I'm almost at -5lb my goal for this week hopefully I make it. But Tom is stopping by for about the next week so not feeling so mentally positive. With the exercise Ive been doing hope its not as bad. Thinking about taking my Pilates classes at the Y instead of at home 3 nights a week. So I'm gona add that to my goals for next week.

Juli was wondering what your fitness schedule is maybe I can take some notes...

Haven't done well yesterday and today with eating and exercise...well actually I've been moving around constantly! Yesterday was the JH/HS concert, today is the Elementary. My life is on hold until these concerts are finished...the elem. one starts in 50 minutes. I FINALLY have time today to sit down, have something to eat. So yesterday and today, no exercise. Yesterday and today, practically no food until dinnertime. BUT I did drink all of my water yesterday...didn't weigh in this am...thinking about skipping this week since it's TOM and I'm not up to my usual standards but I might weigh in tomorrow...?

            Here is my exercise schedule:
MONDAY--warm up on stationary bike (3-5 miles), Boot Camp class
            TUESDAY--day of rest
WEDNESDAY--warm up on stationary bike or treadmill (1-5 miles), Kickboxing class
THURSDAY--either a Treadmill workout (run/walk intervals) or arms strength training
FRIDAY--Treadmill workout (run/walk intervals) I try to get 5 miles
SATURDAY--legs workout, treadmill cooldown (1-2 miles)
SUNDAY--random day, I do whatever I haven't done for the week.

This is what my schedule has been like for the past couple weeks...in Boot Camp and Kickboxing we do a lot of toning, so I'll to my legs workout if we did arms in class, and vice versa. I change it around a bit...sometimes I'll take another day of rest, or like this week Sunday will be a day of rest and I'll go work out on Tuesday...I aim for 6x a week.

              Hey Everyone,

I weighed in this morning, and lost 5 lbs on my first week back! I'm happy with that. Historically, I usually gain back a couple of those lbs in the second week of induction and usually round out the two weeks with about a 7 lb loss. We'll see if the same happens this [LAST!] time around!

Food has been GREAT, but I totally failed on the exercise front this week and didn't get to it at all. I'm really not going to meet my goal of a measly 300 minutes this month, it seems. I'm trying not to make excuses, but this week really was go go go. I'm up every day at 5:45 AM to shower, eat and leave for work. Get out of work at 5PM, sit in rush hour traffic again for at least an hour. On Monday and Wednesay, I went straight from work to the the chiropractor. Got home in time to make dinner, eat it, clean up, make my lunch for the next day, and go to bed. Tuesday evening was dinner with friends, Thursday evening I spent with my MIL who had just had her first round of chemo at the hospital, and Friday I was back at my MIL's to help out as she wasn't feeling too well. It was an absolutely insane week.

I had a GREAT week at work. I had my performance review and got a 10% raise!! I was shocked and not expecting it AT ALL. [I didn't think my review would be for months yet!] I got top "marks" in all categories of my review, and they wanted to reward me appropriately. It totally made my week. And then yesterday our President gave me my Christmas bonus, which was probably the biggest Christmas bonus I've ever received. And now I am off for two weeks to enjoy the holiday. Thank goodness - I was feeling on the verge of burnout!

Monday and Tuesday we're going to my BIL and SIL's place in Ottawa to celebrate Christmas with my neices. Should be fun, but food will be interesting. Yikes. Each time we've gone they really did not know how to cook for me. I'm thinking in addition to bringing what we can, we'll stop at the grocery store before getting to the house and buy food. Will make life easier.

Otherwise, the rest of the week should be easy... I'll be home cooking our meals, will be able to finish my Christmas shopping, wrap gifts, get our apartment in order, EXERCISE, and just generally relax. I can't wait.

Hey everyone, I'm back from my trip to NY. I actually got in Thursday night, but my hubby has wanted my attention and tonight is only the 2nd time I've actually been on ADBB.

                I have battle wounds.

For all of making it through the trip to New York (and I did, believe it or not), by the time I got back I was struggling and I fell Saturday night. For yellow rice and tortilla chips.

I've been thinking and I know what led up to the fall:
                1) not having enough food. (part of this I couldn't help as I was at the mercy of someone else)
                2) not having nearly enough fat for satiety
                3) not enough water
                4) not having access to my support system (ADBB)

So, I'll be cleaning it all up again this week to be back in ketosis before Christmas.

Julie, everything all done now with the concerts? I'm proud of you for sticking to it through all the chaos of that.

Lisa--way to go on the water.

                MissIdeal--you're doing great.

                Rye--way to go!!!

Joy! Glad you're back! Jump back on the wagon, clean it up, we're cheering you on!

Yep, I did manage to stay "clean" during those concerts, mainly because I had no time to eat--but I doubt I would have eaten something illegal anyway...my biggest problem is that I didn't eat enough spaced throughout the day, and had the majority of my calories at dinnertime for those 2 days...also didn't drink nearly as much water as I usually do, and did not exercise. AND IT IS TOM!!!! But Saturday I had a really good cardio workout, ate right, and today I ate lots of healthy foods (nuts, cheese, Cobb Salad, not sure what dinner is yet) but I'm not finished with my water...we're going to "forage" for dinner...so I'll probably have an omelette and bacon, drink some water, and watch Clerks II.

Good deal, Jules! I did induction for most of the day yesterday, but had peanut butter last night. No coffee/caffeine though, only water and I've got zero energy and a headache to boot. I should know better.

Anyway, this morning I've had steak for breakfast (leftover from last night) with some mayo to add fat...and 40 ounces of water.

I'll find something at the cafeteria for lunch...probably salad.

Dinner, Ive got porkchops, hamburger patties and chicken thighs in the fridge for this week...so, it's all good.

The plan is to go running this evening with my hubby.
