((Lisa)) Super hugs to an awesome mom. Being a mom is just hard sometimes, and yet we some how manage to drag ourselves out of bed every morning to face the challenges before us. Hang in there!

Hey,Sher. Yep, I'd say if you're doing okay. Hang in there and keep fighting the fight.

I hear ya, my legs are dying at the moment.

I dragged out my Turbo Jam DVD today and did 25 minutes of it. I had just come in from litterally running in 15 degree temperatures around both of my daughters' schools. Yep, I got my exercise in today.

      Thanks Lisa.
Honestly, I'm still looking for that huge rock everyone talks about hiding under. Still haven't found that sucker yet, but one of these days.

Hi everyone. I have been cheating for 2 days. I ate a ton of sugar!! . I am back on good standing today. Here goes 1 day cheat free down. Oh the holiday sweets are so tempting. I am sure tomorrows headache will tell me the sweets are not worth it!!! I hope everyone else is good.

Lisa hang in there. Being a mom is hard sometimes.

Lisa-doesn't your son have an aid at school? My cousins child with autism has a full time aid in the class. It helps with meltdowns. Of course your son is much older. I really feel for you. You did nothing to "deserve" a child that does such things. Do not beat yourself up. Stick to plan, keep your blood sugar levels stable and at least you will be better able to deal with it. Christmas vacation is coming up isn't it? Do you think your aunt could watch your son for the day or even overnight so that you can get a break from being a mom?

I made those fake mashed potatoes last night. I admit that I thought every person on this site was freaking nuts saying how they are so yummy. Well these are much better then mashed potatoes! They are sort of sweet. I made them the way Kent did in the video clip except I used my staf mixer. Next time I make them I think I will include parm cheese. I had some for breakfast this morning too.

Jerrica-the holiday treats are tempting. This is the worst time of the year. If we can manage this month then the rest of the year will be "easy".

Here, Jerrica, let me help....lol.. . Drink your water and keep exercising, and remember to not beat yourself up too much.

MaggieBe....I've made "twiced baked faux taters" and that's not too bad either. Mash up the cauliflower and then mix with a 1/2 cup of shredded cheese, and then sprinkle some on top then bake for about 15 minutes at 375 until a nice golden bubbly. I'm making myself hungry. lol.

Note to Memorial Day Challengers.....Just a friendly Holiday reminder I'm working on myself and thought I'd share

Let's remember to NOT lick the spoon while baking, say "No, Thank You" to offerings of goodies, and donate goodies from well deserving people to the local shelters, other offices, or garbage disposal (the trash is too easy to try to dig out of and "taste" it).

Lets remember to not eat the goodies people keep bringing in the office. The gift basket that was brought in on Monday had mixed nuts with raisins & cranraisins, chocolate covered cashews, chocolate covered peanuts, cookies, summer sausage and cheese.

Yesterday was the sweets, now today they broke out the sausage and cheese. At least I didn't feel guilty when I had 3 slices of the sausage and one chunk of the cheese.

Oh yeah did I mention that this very perky lady from on of our vendors dropped off a big bag of bagels this AM? I'm gonna take all these people out back and shoot em!

Lisa-what kind of cheese do you use when you make your twice baked "potatoes). I was thinking maybe some freshly grated parm cheese? Or more a cheese you would use for a gratin?

                        Maggie,

Yes, my son has an aid in school, yet it's taking 2-4 people to get him calmed down at times. Especially when he's slamming doors.

Naww, not beating myself up, just exhausted from this week.

No such luck getting breaks. My aunt works in realestate, is married, and also is always running about doing other things for family members. So she has little time for anything else. My mom works and couldn't keep him either. And with her nerves, can't handle him when he's aggressive.

I used to get one night a month when he went to his respite care group, but he's bored of it now and only causes problems if I send him. He says he no longer wants to go.

I do have some hours in the day while he's at school. That's used for doing errands that I can't do while he's with me. Otherwise I have to take him with me and threaten to take TV away if he acts bad. lol. Bribery works a good portion of the time. lol.

Sher....too bad you couldn't use the bagles as hocky pucks and toss them at the vendor. lol. Oh, that would be a bit mean, now wouldn't it. lol.

I use just regular medium shredded cheddar cheese. I think you will have fun changing things up a bit trying out different cheese, too.

I got my 45 minutes of Turbo Jam in today. Yea me.

                            Hi Everyone
Well because of the snow storms here, I have to wait a few days before I will have the stand to convert my bike to a stationary one ... but I did leg lifts and crunches yesterday and then had leg cramps again last night - but I am on supplements again so that should end soon.
I am drinking my water and totally ignoring the fact that there are diet dr. peppers in the frig door and the fact that I really, really want one.
I'm having leftover turkey sausage tonight with the last bite or two of the stir fried chard that I made last night ... sure wish I had more of that, it was wonderful.
Still feeling a bit depressed, but its not as bad as it had been.
