      I am so in this. Count me in for sure! I would love to not have to hide under pants and capris this summer. I would love to wear a bathing suit. OH I am so in this. My goal for Memorial Day would be 50 pounds and that would bring me to 170 - 175.

        Hi girls! I forgot to post my goals!! I am 175 now and want to be at least 150 by Memorial day!! so hi-ho and away we go....look out summertime here comes the hottie bikini brigade!!!!

          Welcome Mello33 and Taradar!!! There aren't really any "guidelines" to the Memorial Day Challenge except continue on with whichever stage of Atkins you are in, exercise , drink tons of water , and report weigh ins (to me) every two weeks.

          You can either post your weights in a post, IM me, or e-mail me sherrybaby801@gmail.com

          Our next weigh in is on January 18, 2007. I already have your names on my master list but you won't see it on the list until I post for next weigh in.

              Just dropping in to say welcome to the new folks checking in. This is my most successful challenge yet. I am really tracking and losing fast. I am excited about that bikini on Memorial Day. We will have to post our bikini pictures here!

              The Memorial Day - Bikini Challenge.
              149.8/no weigh/ 119



              1st goal: 139 (earlier weight)
              what the rungs mean to me:
              rung 1 - more veggies
              rung 2 - dairy (some milk in coffee)
              rung 3 - seeds, nuts (mostly sprinkled on salads)
              rung 4 - berries, melon
              rung 5 - wine -
              rung 6 - beans, hummus
              rung 7 - other fruits
              rung 8 - carrots/ potatoes (nah, prolly not)
              rung 9 - whole grains (fresh Dutch breads...)
              Major Goal - 128 lbs/ healthy range
              (on to pre-maintenance)

                    Hi,
                    I would like to join the memorial day challenge. Do we just check and post on this forum daily? I am a second time around atkins kid and I REALLY NEED TO STICK TO IT THIS TIME!!! I ate so many sweets during the holidays, Im having sweet cravings daily. I cant give in! Can someone email me what we will be doing on the challenge, you know, days to check in? weight? etc. thanks, I need all the suport I can get!

                      Teri- we weigh in every other week on a Thursday (next weigh in is on a Thursday). You just need to tell us what your weight goal is for memorial day next year. How many lbs do you want to take off? You can post on this thread several times a day, every day, or just on weigh in day. Your choice! There is a forum around for those doing it a second(or more, lol) time around(STAC). I hope you decide to join the challenge.

                        I will check the post regularly and weigh in next thursday. I would like to be down to 145 lbs by memorial day of 2007. Wish me luck, I just have been having a hard time craving sweets lately. I just have to put my mind to this and be strong.

                            After our most recent additions, our new total of lbs we want to lose by Memorial day is: 1441.5

                            After our second weigh-in, our total of pounds lost so far was: 37.1

                            That is 2.6% towards goal!!!

                            KEEP IN MIND: Our last weigh-in, only 11 people reported weights out of a total of 30 challengers.

                            *Whisper* I cheated and got on the scale before weigh-in and I am already at 299!!!!! Down 6 lbs!!! I can't wait until next Thursday for official weigh-in!!

                              The cravings will stop. Honest. Yeah it is difficult to believe. I do not care about food anymore. My main problem is that I do not want to eat anything(unless it is fauxtatoes!). It is annoying because my calories should be higher for the pounds to drop off. I never could have thought of this. I thought that I would be in pain the entire time I lost weight. Nope!

                                Hi!

                                I'm rather new here and this challenge is exactly what I need!
                                I have to be outside running around constantly from July to September and it about killed me last year. I MUST lose weight by summer!

                                I always get hung up around 200 lbs. I've been stuck there twice and get depressed and gain it all back. NOT this time. I'm going to stay involved here and be inspired by all of you!

                                I would love to make goal by Memorial Day, but I think that if I lose 103 lbs by then, it would be a bit too fast.

                                So, I think a realistic goal would be 175. At least I hope it's realistic! That's 53 lbs.

                                I'm looking forward to meeting you all, and now I'm going to go find one of those banners to add to my siggy.
