        I'm not sure what to do. But I do know that I am NOT going to have the cookies my 4 year old so desperately wants to share with me-or maybe I'm the one wanting to share-well, definitely need to find something constructive to do with my time!

              By July 4--- 3 months away...hmmm.....20 lbs...I would be 174...closer to my goal weight...yeah. I think this is realistic. I can only hope for more!

              Also...somewhere on this site there is a link to a Linda's low carb recipes..anyone seen it.. I didn't mark it and now I can't find it...there was some awesome recipes...Thanks!

                        Anyone know where to get some Almond flour (other than on-line) does any of your chain/local grocery stores carry it.
                        I can only find some soy, which is great to bread fish with.
                        I'm on extended induction for a few weeks know and I'm looking for different ideas.

                            Hey Lindsay!

                            It is great that you are looking for some new foods to add to your WOE. But one question.... Are you staying on extended induction or are you going to add these food in the order of the carbohydrate ladder? This ladder can be found in DANDR 2002 edition on page 171, chapter 14.

                            Almond flour is great! I use it to bread my chicken breasts for chicken parmesean. (mix the almond flour with parm cheese, italian seasoning and salt and pepper. Dip it in the mixture after dredging through a beaten egg, fry for a few minutes on both sides, and bake in the oven with some LC spag sauce over top at 350*F for about 30 minutes for boneless skinless chicken. Also top with some shredded mozarella! MMMMMMM) However almond flour is on rung 3. So if you are going to add it, make sure you have added the other food items Dr. A suggests first. Soy flour can be found at health food stores, organic markets, and also at some bulk food stores. Soy flour is on rung 6, because soy is a legume. BTW, blanched almond flour is the best tasting for baking, it looks less brown because the skins of the almonds have been removed and has a milder flavour.

                            The reason for adding foods in order is to pin point any foods that will cause you to stall, give you cravings, and show you if you have a specific allergy to any foods. Go ahead and move on to OWL if you are ready! You can still lose weight on OWL and will have the benefit of so many more food choices, but as any life time atkineer will tell you, adding foods back like the good Dr. recommends is crucial to success.

                              OH, btw everyone. I got my 120 flights in today for KATA2! Weeeeee!

                              I am looking forward to my dr's appt on Saturday. I am only weighing at his office from now on. Going to break this scale addiction yet!

                              Eating was great today too. I made some OK brownies. Recipe needs some tweeking to get em right. I'll post the recipe when I have made them perfecto!
