New challenge?

I'm new to the boards, must have signed up back in 2003 and forgot about it! I'm ready to restart and get myself under control! I will be starting Monday October 1. Yes, why wait, but I do have two birthdays this weekend and well, I just plain dont' want to set myself up for failure in the first few days.

is there a challenge out there for October 1 - October 31?

Welcome to ADBB! This is an awesome place for information and support - enjoy.

About challenges - there are some exercise challenges that are likely to start on October 1st and there is another forum called Exercise Challenges that you can have a look in. I didn't see any for October listed yet, but a lot of the September challenges that you see there will likely start again in October. There are usually things like AB challenges, Calories Burnt challenges, Mileage challenges, Pedometer challenges, etc. Just have a look around.

There is a fun Challenge in this forum that started right after Labor Day that you could probably still enter. It is the Look Boo-tiful by Halloween Challenge. You post a starting pic, starting weight and measurements, and pledge an amount to lose by Halloween. Here is the link in case you are interested:
