      Hi Turkeys (LOL),

      I haven't weighed my self since Monday, now I have TOM and I am going to wait a few days.

      It looks like you turkeys are doing great.

      Atkid, can you give me some details on your shake? I need to find an easy breakfast because I am in the middle of my hectic season with my job and some mornings I am not home. Yesterday I was on a plane at 6 am.....

      I used to do a soy protein shake made with soy milk but I am not on the nut rung yet. Also it would be great if this is something I can travel with. I have several out of town trips coming up and the hotel continental breakfasts are never Atkins freindly.

        Gobble gobble gobble ...

        I hate hotel continental breakfasts! I'm convinced that's why I messed up on vacation back in July. Only one of the hotels we stayed at had a buffet w/ sausage, bacon, eggs, etc. (it was a Comfort Suites or something like that, one of the Clarion chain).

        My scale is at work, and I'm not weighing today because I'm wearing blue jeans & loafers, etc. so I figure these heavy clothes will skew the results.

          I see that everyone is posting their losses quite frequently...way to go everyone. Just to let you know I only weigh in every 2 weeks. So my next weigh in day is 10/15...I'll let you know what the evil scale says!

            Hey Turkeys,


            I lied.....

            I decided late this morning that even though I am on TOM that before I got in the shower I felt thinner and would jump on the scale. I am down 2 more. WOOHOO! I have officially lost 20#- 7 more to go and I will be at my first goal (under 200#).

            It has been at least 5 years since I weighed what I weigh today . I am getting younger LOL

              Glenda!! I am so glad you checked in, I was starting to worry about ya!! I'm glad you're goind well and you just ket us know what that sace says when the time comes and we will update for ya!! I don't think I would last 2 weeks w/o the scale!! LOL You go girl!

                I stay off the scale as I get discouraged with the numbers. It appears I'm a slow loser. I'm quite sure I weighed much more than I thought when I started on 8/6. I weighed myself at my MIL on 7/29. She lives in PA...I was on vacation...went on to TX to visit my son & bring Elijah home to his mother. So a week of vacation...lots of eating out. I stupidly used that weight as my starting weight...DUH. I should have weighed in at my doctors office where I now weigh in. Kicking myself in the gluteus maximus but oh well nothing I can do about it. I'm rambling...

                  Glenda: I'm impressed that you can wait two weeks between weigh-ins. I'm a slow loser too - maybe I need to follow your lead and quit weighing in so often. It does get discouraging!

                    You know it truly doesn't bother me! I've seen so many people in my life who let the # on the scale dictate how their day goes. Plus we all know scales are evil & lie.

                    I also do my measurements on the same day. Now those #'s I love. It has been highly motivating to get into pants I haven't worn for awhile. I've taken clothes to the thrift shop. My scrubs fit better.

                      Alaska girl, there are a couple different ways I like my shakes. First of all if I am in a real rush I just grab a plain Atkins Vanilla shake and drink it like that. If I have time to use the blender I make one of these 3 shakes:
                      *I share of these with my dd,13 so they are actually making 2 shakes

                      1. Chocolate Moccha
                      1 Can of chocolate atkins shake
                      1 cup of the carb count white milk
                      1 level teaspoon of instant decaf coffee
                      4 drops of sweetzfree
                      cup of ice and blend

                      2. Strawberry
                      1 can of vanilla atkins shake
                      1 cup of the carb count white milk
                      approximately 1/2 strawberries
                      4 drops sweetzfree
                      cup of ice and blend

                      3. Banana shake
                      1 vanilla atkins shake
                      1 cup of carb count white milk
                      1 banana
                      4 drops sweetzfree
                      cup of ice and blend
                      *This one is of course much higher carbs then the others but I am through all the levels and haven't had a problem adding bananas, since I am sharing it I am only getting a half banana in my share of the shake*

                      I usually enjoy just one of these every night as a snack but if I don't know what I am looking for I make one for the convenience.

                        Good Morning All!!

                        It's Saturday...and I feel good!!

                        Ok..JS..I'm ready to post stats..it has held for a few days...so..weigh in this morning is...160.4...Yipee! 3 lb loss thusfar. I have got to let my weight stick for a few, so will prob post maybe twice a week..we'll see.

                        Everyone is doing fantastic...thank Goodness for challanges like this...really keeps me on track..I'M Luvin it!

                            I weigh often usually 2-3 days a week. Sometimes I do see it go up but I don't count those. I only count the loss's If I see a higher number I chalk it up to water retention ........ I have been trying to do my tape measure stats every 10 days or so. It makes me feel better.


                            Thanks Atkid, I will keep those shake recipes handy. I did buy some Caramel Coffee Latte Atkins shakes yesterday and I had one for breaky this am. Not to bad but I thought I could make it better.

                              I completely agree. If you focus on every little gain you'll drive yourself crazy.

                              Oh and the whoosh fairy visited (Woot!!) and beat me with her wand again for another 2.4 pounds so that puts me at exactly 353 pounds!! I couldn't believe my ears (my scale talks) so I tried again to make sure and got the exact same number!!!

                              P.S. The signatures seem to allow more then 400 characters now.
