It is a new week and I have a new focus! Last week I averaged over 2400 calories and had a whopping 27% of those from carbs. Now I am one of those (please don't shoot me here) that has a really high CCLL, but that is ridiculous!

Therefore, this week I am going to concentrate on keeping my calories closer to my BMR which is 1796. I am also going to watch my ratios to try to keep them around 50% or more fat, 30% protein, and no more than 20% carbs.

Since I have to wait to learn the new weight machines until next week, I am going to up my cardio time until then.

Here is my real excuse! I gained last week due to TOM! Tremendously Over Munching! LOL

Poo on TOM! I wish it would just start already & quit lurking in the background making live miserable.

So I'm up 1.6# ...which I expected. That puts me at
          235/235.4/220

Congrats to all who have lost. Those of us who gained.... Tomorrow is a new day!

                Hi Everyone,

Sorry for the late weigh in. Today I am at 183.2 so my stats are 186.8/183.2/172. I am up from my ticker but TOM arrived today with a vengeance (I am so thankful for extra strength Advil)...so only a 0.6 pound loss but next week I should be back on track.

Have I mentioned how much I hate TOM?

I am up a stinkin half pound. 179.5 this morning. I am off induction now so I am not losing like I was, but I didn't expect to gain! I was making myself not weigh every day and was ready for a surprise today. Oh well...tomorrow is a new day. Congrats to the losers!

Atkid, I wanted to respond to your question? Am I doing anything different? Yes. Prior to starting this, I WAS being really really sloppy, over eating on legal foods and occasionally cheating... but for the past 2 weeks I have been on strict induction and I mean strict. I am really controling portions and not snacking at night. I stopped drinking caffeine as well. I have been futzing around in the 170's for quite some time now. I think my body is just ready to start shedding some more fat again. Also I think that a lot of it is water wt and the wt loss will start to slow again this week. It's like starting over again... Anyways, thanks for your kind words... I appreciate it. You're under a lot of stress right now with your kids. Stress makes it hard to lose too... so try hard to relax and take extra special care of yourself. We're all in different places so don't compare yourself to others. And Morningglory is right, drink your water, I'm drinking a ton right now too. I hope something I said is helpful.

It all sounds good Liz, funny you say about the caffeine because I decided to try going all decaf myself. On third day of that, headache not so bad as the first day. I have always just drank decaf coffee but my hot tea and iced tea were with caffeinated bags so making the switch to see if that helped. I also am trying to use liquid spenda in my drinks instead of sweet & low to see if that is a staller. I am trying. Keep doing what you are doing, its obviously you found your plan.

                          Liz,

I think that was a great post and I can see in myself that I am starting to "relax" a bit too much and need to pay more attention to portions, fitday, etc.

I have been telling myself recently that having "a few drinks" here and there is okay (it is always in a social situation, usually with friends we have "drank with" for years) but it really is not since I am not on that rung and I will just have to be stronger in the future. Even though I am still losing a little, I need to get a grip and stop jacking around and getting sloppy, like you said.

Congrats on your loss in the last 2 weeks!!

                            Thanks Atkid and Pam,
It's so easy to get sloppy... (no judgement here BELIEVE me!!) I am hoping that the wt loss continues as I move up OWL. But, this is about lifestyle and enjoying the life we've got. And hoping that as I add new foods nothing starts triggering old cravings. We'll see. Like Don, Tom is looming in the near future for me too.

I'm the same--I'll blame it on stress, no exercise last week, and approaching TOM. So, still at 156. Better be less next week, exercise starts again tonight.

I just re-read your post Atkid, Caffeine must really be key here. I have always kind of thought in the back of my mind that it was causing me to retain fat... and I think it's true. Something does seem to have 'let go'... and that must be it. I gave it up exactly 2 weeks ago. I'm not even drinking decaf any more. why bother. I had herb tea today. Also stopped using splenda too... for an unrelated reason... (migraines... ) I guess, now that I think about it, I have made a lot of changes.
