  • Gratitude Journal

Easter is 5 weeks away. And I am greatful for the many things the Lord has done for me. In return, I'm opening a Gratitude Journal Challenge for the next 5 weeks. Every single day, you MUST record 5 things you're greatful for. Even on days you feel crummy and not in the mood. There's ALWAYS something you have to be greatful for in your life.

I've found that if I record things that are positive, I start to become a more positive person. I'm focusing on the things that are going right, more than the things that are going wrong.

Winnona Judd said something like this [paraphrasing] - Ladies, throw out your scales. Weighing yourself every morning is a rediculous, as a man measuring his manhood every day. How about we stop beating ourself up for the 15 things we do, and start appreciating the 5 things we did do.

Well - here comes my 5 things a day, and I look forward to how positive we become as a group.

    Re: Gratitude Journal

    1. Having the chance to start over.
    2. Losing 5 pounds.
    3. Having the atkins friends to help me stay focused this time.
    4. My dog, who is snuggly and wonderful.
    5. A warm home that waits for me to come back to it every night.

        Today, I am greatful for:

Sunshine....I can't wait until this snow starts to melt!
Waking up early this morning - a little bit makes a big difference.
Having enough sick time at work to be able to do physical therapy during the day instead of at night.
        Having lost weight this morning.
Naps! (Can I get a woot woot from the old farts?...I LOVE to nap, but rarely get to!)
