    Hello Challengers,
How are all of you doing? 10 days left of the challenge. Did you learn anything and or about yourself without the Sweetner? How do you feel mentally and physically compared to before you quit the sweetners?
I was checking out this site today that I thought you would all like to see. It's www.RightHealth.com . It was really cool cause you can type in any sweetner on its search and get all kinds of info on it. Really interesting. Check it out when you find time. Volumes of information there.
I'm really proud of each and everyone of you. I know exactly the difficuly it is to avoid all sweetners. Today is day 55 for me. I have no cravings, even when TOM is around. That is a first.
I've been experiencing a few first since stopping the sweetners and they are all positive ones. I find a sence of freedom. Freedom from a wicked addiction. Feels awesome! I am going to continue my track of no sweetners. I mentally and physically feel healthy. Better than I ever have. I'm not going to fix something that's not broke.
Hang in there ladies. Just another week and a half to go. I'll be looking forward to hearing from all of you here.
    Sincerely, Sherri

Another x for me. I was at church today and its that TOM and I chose diet caffiene free pepsi over the cakes and pies. Actually though, it wasnt that great. So I didnt drink much of it. I later found some decaf coffee someone made and used some half and half (no sweeteners) and that tasted better would ya believe?

As for what I have learned so far...I think the sweeteners definately stall me, I was in total denial before this challenge. Also, they keep the sugar addiction alive but just below the surface. Since giving them up, I dont even want to have diet drinks, sweetened stuff, etc. I found myself asking, what happened to my sugartooth? I totally could have passed on the pepsi today but silly me knew I had a few x's I could use and just did. Wish I hadnt though. Actually, I also learned (just tonight) that, Just because you CAN have something, doesnt me you HAVE to or even WANT to.

          Hi Mindy,
Thanks for checking in. Looks as though you've came to some realizations about sweetners. Good for you!
I agree with you 100% about just because you can, doesn't mean you should.
I'm really proud of you and for all that you've learned during this challenge.

            Happy Tuesday, Everyone!
Just checking in. Still sweetener free. Thank you for all the hard work and all the info you have shared, Sherri. If it was not for this challenge, I don't think I would have found out that diet soda stalled me, either. I drank one diet Pepsi faithfully with lunch everyday. That is the only thing that I did, and the scale did not move. My clothes got loser, which is good, but the numbers would not go down. I joined this challenge and the scale started to move! I could not believe it! I had to accept that it was the sweetener/hidden sugars. Have to go, am at work as per usual, on break, which is just about over. Everyone have a great, sweetener free, day!

                Hello Aso,
Aww, you're welcome! I was very happy to share all the info. I'm going to start an on going challenge for no sweetners when this challenge is over on the 16th. Maybe pave the way for others to get help for their sweet poison addiction.
Thanks for sharing your experience with stopping the sweet poison. Your testimony alone proves that sweetners do stall your weightloss. I'm really happy that this challenge helped you. Mission Accomplished!
                Thanks again for checking in.

Tonight was kinda sorta hard. I went out for my anniversary and I thought labor was hard but I found it was very hard to give away some chicken fried rice that was made fresh right before my eyes. Man...did it look fantastic. But then! They brought out some fried ice cream when the found out it was our anniversary. I helped divide it up between everyone in attendance but me. I didn't touch anything that wasn't low GI vegetable or meat. It was hard but I passed the test!

So I made it about half way through reading this challenge, and I've gotta say WOW!!
The bit on Splenda shocked me....I went and tossed my da vinci syrup down the drain. No wonder I was getting addicted to the stuff. I think the person who compared it to our furry friends and antifreeze had something there! Of course, there goes my splenda sweetened pickles, catsup, and goodness knows what else.

Think I'll join you guys the next go round. No sweetener in my coffee will be the biggest challenge Let's see how brave I am come mid April

Yes that's exactly what I had in mind. An ongoing challenge, "How long can you go" Challenge, only with sweetners. I've already got people asking me for reminders when I start it. I'll be sharing the same info there as we shared here. Should be fun. You all here are paving the way for others to kick the habbit of the sweet poisons. You should all be proud. I'm really proud of all of you. Great job !
