      Mostly different types of leg lifts, bicycling and such. I can't get on my knees at all, so everything is done lying on my back or sides. After I get my strength back, I add ankle and wrist weights.

      These three are a big part of my routine. The seated march is great for the waist:

      Upper-Body Fan
      Warms torso and facilitates breathing by opening shoulders and upper chest.





      A. While lying on back with arms outstretched to sides and palms up, bring knees up and roll them to right side. Turn head to left. Try to keep both shoulders touching bed.

      B. Sweep left palm in 180-degree arc over chest to touch right palm, letting head follow arm, then slowly reverse move. Repeat 10 times, then switch sides.


      Rise and Shine Leg Extensions
      Warms lower body by enhancing circulation between lower extremities and heart.



      A. Lie faceup on bed with knees bent, arms outstretched to sides, and palms down. Pull knees in toward torso, pressing heels together, toes apart.

      B. With heels still touching, straighten knees and extend legs straight into the air, pressing inner thighs firmly together. Pause. Bend knees back toward chest. Repeat 10 times slowly.

      Seated March
      Gets heart pumping without your having to stand up.



      Sit on side of bed and extend arms in front, palms up. Clench fists and bend elbows (like "putting up your dukes"). Then, keeping back straight, raise left knee while twisting and pulling right elbow to left knee. Then raise arms while tapping left toe to floor. Repeat 10 times on left side, then switch sides.

        Originally it was $150 but mine is having a two for one special. My friend and I joined at the same time so it was $75 each for sign up then $35/month. So pretty good deal imo. Well worth it, I can tell their workout is gonna get me super toned by the summer

          Sorry I haven't posted in few days (extremely hectic on the work and home front). Been doing lost of walking past couple of days and got back on the ball literally today and started exercising again. Promise to post more often

            The sun actually came out today, so I walked for 50 minutes. I walked the steep hills twice again this time. I didn't do anything else because I had a lot to do outside once it stopped raining.

              Walked the puppies for 40 minutes tonight...It has been such nice weather this week...someone told me are going to see snow by the end of the week in my area I'm ready to break out the shorts

                Sounds like everyone is doing well--a big to those who are doing SO OUTSTANDINGLY WELL on the exercise front. I am to report that I only exercised once last week but will try to do better this week. I am doing fine on eating, just added some blackberries (mmm...) this week. I see myself falling back into some old (bad) habits with alcohol but am just going to have to be a bit more disciplined about it . I just love sitting out on the patio in the evening with a nice cocktail ...

                Have a big challenge coming up this week--it is my DH's birthday and for the last 25 years I have almost always baked him his favorite Italian Cream Cake for his birthday. While he would understand if I did not bake it this year I just can't imagine not doing this for my sweetie. We are having some friends over to help us celebrate so hopefully it will all get eaten then. I LOVE this cake and it will be hard not to eat any of it BUT I CAN DO IT. Maybe I will wear my skin tight challenge jeans to keep me "reminded" of why I don't want any cake but that would be kind of offensive to our guests .

                      It finally warmed up just a bit here, but it is supposed to snow Sunday night! Gezzy Pete! That will be the middle of April!

                        It supposed to snow tonight...possibly up to 8 inches. I am over it. Time for warmth, reliable warmth. The good news it mid 60s by Saturday and in the 70s early next week so i suspect this will be the last storm. Lots of yard work to do still. I have been doing lunges and i can tell you my butt and thighs are so sore. I need to step up the exercise but i honestly am not sure where to fit it in.

                            Got in the 1 Mile Walk Away Pounds DVD last night, plus some stability ball and managed to do 100 squats and crunches plus misc. walking thru out the day

                              Hope you are all well. Just checking in to say the scale is moving again! Yay! 2 pounds down this morning. My jeans are literally falling down so have ordered some UK size 16 (US 12/14). I am in a GOOD mood today!

                                I didn't even realize you were from Colorado too! What part are you in? I'm live in Thornton and work in Littleton. I agree this weather is ridiculous!
