    i really really enjoy a piece of chocolate at night, which ive had to do without. instead i have 1/2 of a chocolate atkins shake.

    i struggle with the bread/chips they bring to your table at restaurants when you're starving and they haven't brought your food out yet!

    especially that dark warm sweet bread.

      Hey there!!

      Update: I have only managed to lose about 2.5 lbs. since 3/21 when I posted my pics and weighed/measured. I am currently on the berry rung. I have overindulged in legal foods several times in the last month so that is probably why my losses have slowed. Seem to be doing a bit better this week.
      Tried the "deep dish pizza" recipe last night and it was YUMMY.

      What I struggle with: I have said it before and will again--it's alcohol. I never really realized how many things we do tend to involve having beers, wine or drinks. I guess it is just our lifestyle. Plus, the lovely weather here this time of year causes us to spend a lot of time on the back patio in the evening and our habit of having a drink before dinner goes back many years...
      In the past my drink of choice was rum and diet coke but I now drink only bourbon and water or Michelob Ultra.

      I am getting a bit bored with some of the food that I eat very regularly and need to try some new recipes for the variety. I am lucky that DH will eat (almost) anything I put in front of him. We use the grill a lot now and don't eat out as much as we used to.

      I am still not exercising much--just too tired after a long day at work and I sometimes have errands to do on the way home. I do walk a lot during the day. I know these are just excuses

      That's about it for me. Congrats to my fellow challengers who are doing so well

        I am struggling with hot wings right now. They are a bane to my existence! AND I LOVE THEM! I am down to 192 but my official weigh in isn't til the end of the month. My hips are getting bonier because it hurts to sit long periods or lay on my side a long time. I think my stomach is getting a little flatter too! Not as much as I would have liked though.

          So i did take pictures in 3 of my garments, only one is really appropriate (if you wanna call it that) to post. This is me in the aforementioned board shorts. the other two pictures are in pants i cannot get above my thighs. maybe i'll post the before pictures of those at the end. for now...here it is, worse than i thought. and forgive the ill-fitting bra, dieting makes my boobs shrink

              I struggle with coffee & alcohol. I don't indulge in alcohol much but when I do I can't just have 1 beer, glass of wine or bourbon & diet coke.

              I am also struggling with exercise. Having some major issues with my left knee. I've already had 2 surgeries & have an appointment next Friday with my orthopedic doctor~~~I'm quite nervous but can no longer deal with the pain.

              Back to basics & doing well. I'm in ketosis & feelng good. Hoping for a surge of energy tomorrow!

                So how do you all deal with your struggles? I have cut out cream. I have not seen any losses either since i did but tom is due any day so i am saying that is the problem. Exercise is a big struggle for me but soon my walking buddy will be outta school and i will be able to go at least 5 days a week. I have exercise videos but when i get home i need to start dinner and clean and stuff and there is this embarrassment factor of my man seein me make a fool of myself in front of the tv. So i find myself trying to figure out how to getup earlier but i am already getting up at 5:45 as it is. I know excuses excuses but i seriously need to plan my time better or something.

                    Good morning everyone .......... this challenge has been a struggle for me my life has been an emotional rollercoaster and I have not been eating well. I finally grabbed the bull by the horns this week and got myself back on track ....... I intend to stick it out till the end and pray I have something to show for it from here on out ....... my weight is up 11 pounds and I am so mad at myself for having to relose once again weight I have all ready worked so hard to get off! UGH to me!!!!!!! MY daughter is getting married June 21st and I need/want to be at least 25 lbs less then I am now!


                    My struggles are not with specific foods but with times/places. I struggle at night when we watch tv and everyone in the house is snacking ....... I know there are legal snacks but my body is very sensitve to late eating and even legal foods can stall me if I eat late so this is a big struggle for me.

                    I also struggle with my weekend work ........ I work at a specail care home for the elderly and the girls that I work with love to eat ........ they serve awesome food there and also snacks are readily available for me all day long ......Ia lwasy start with the best of intentions but after the first day it generally overtakes me and I find myself on a monday re-re-re-re-re-starting .......

                    The last hard time for me is everyother weekend I take my older kids to their fathers it's a three hour car ride for me and that time alone on the way home is a very difficult time for me ....... I start off so ready to make it with our stopping and indulging in something I shouldn't but low and behold I rarely do ....... I"m definitly an emotional eater and times I am feeling lonely or missing my children are times that are the very hardest for me But as I said I rededicated myself to my eating plan this week and last night was the first trip since that to make this road trip and I struggled very hard with every convenience store I passed but I did it I made it all the way home with out stopping and I was very pleased with myself ....... One day at a time one baby step at a time and I will get there!!!!!!

                    My excercise is one area I don't struggle with I love it and it is my saving grace ... on days I feel stressed it is a wonderful stress reducer and that has probably helped me not go WAY off my weight ......... I keep telling myself how much better the excercise will help me when I am actually eating like I should! LOL silly me I am so think headed about just DOING THIS RIGHT!!!!!!

                    So here's to getting back to basics about it all and succeeding!!!!!!!!!!!!

                      I'm struggling with a few things.

                      The first being MONEY. We have food assistance, so when that money is up, we are done buying groceries for the month. All I have in my cupboard right now are green beans, and I have 1/2 lb of hamburger and some chicken breasts. That will have to last me until the 4th of the month

                      The second struggle is McD's bunless cheeseburgers. The place I work is extremely busy with traffic, so the only place close enough I can go for lunch is Mcdonald's. I'm sure inhaling 3 double cheeseburgers 4 days a week isn't helping anything.

                      The third is coffee and diet coke. I have to have at least 2 cups of joe in the morning w/3 splenda each. I can't eat without diet coke. I can, but I don't want to give it up. It's too important to me lol....

                        I tried on my pants this morning and found them not such a struggle to zip up. I have been having a hot wing struggle lately.

                          Down two more pounds this week, but I'm still not ready to try those pants on. i'm pretty sure those two pounds didn't come off my arse as hoped for

                            Hey everyone. Just wanted to report I am down to 161.2 this morning, which I am so thrilled about. LOL. I am still terrified to try the jeans and shirt on again though. lol On the 4th it will be one month back on Atkins and consistantly exercising, so I will definately try them and take pics to compair. LOL

                                Hi, lost 4 pounds this week, I am officialy throwing away a pair of pants I used yesterday and look ridiculous because they were to loose!!!
