    It's been 5 days since I started this Halloween Challenge. My water intake is still a challenge, but getting better, as I always carry around a bottle of water with me everywhere. Exercise regime, is right where I committed to, and infact I am going to add an extra day next week, to beef it up a bit. And lastly, my jeans are starting to get looser daily, and that to me is a true sign of losing weight. All in all things are runnings smoothly, though the next 5 days I have dinners, parties, and luncheons, in a row. But I am determined to meet my Halloween goal, and remain focussed on that totally during the next 5 days.

      Hello everyone! I am still in.

      Example 1: I turned my nose up to chocolate birthday cake the other night. Having salad, broccoli, asparagus and drilled chicken was good for me. I handled it graciously and everyone had a good time.

      Example 2: I watched a Dirty Harry movie at the gym yesterday to get psyched up for the final push, weight wise, in this challenge. I am hitting the gym harder and backing off on some of the rungs like beans and berries. Inspector Callahan would not eat beans and berries anyway....

      (By the way, don't be too hard on guys who want to wear pedestrian Halloween costumes. We spend all year trying to be serious, so why blow it at some party? My worst example was taking a penlight and saying I was a crime scene investigator. I did try once, though, and bought a fake rooster and straw hat. With a plaid shirt, I was the guy who's "Pickup truck just broke down out front." I thought it was pure genius. Unfortunately I had not seen Brokeback Mountain and the unintended consequences of my attempt at a "costume" turned out to be quite, funny? [Not that there's anything wrong with that.] So please give us a break, we are trying.)

        I feel like the yellow team from the biggest loser....Why did I challenge so high? Where is Jillian when I need her!
        I have put together an exercise regimin for myself consisting of all floor exercises. ITs great because my balance issue wont come into play. It takes me about 40 minutes and I am in a sweat when I finish. Today I feel like I got hit by a truck so I know its working LOL.
        Whats life without some challenges, right?

        Come on Whooshie Fairy I need a visit!

              Sigh... well, I didn't have a very good weekend. Saturday we had a party for our baby girl, there was lots of Asian food and desserts and I definitely indulged more than I should have. I feel pretty disappointed about the set back, but I dusted myself off this morning and getting right back into the challenge again. Should I feel extra guilty since I started this challenge?

              Off to sit in the naughty ADBB'er corner........

                  BunnyD, Don't be TOO hard on yourself (just as hard as you need to be to not do it again, lol) I shouldn't be talking too much. I haven't cheated (except with the Long Island Ice Teas, but I didn't know that was cheating), BUT I do plan on eating sushie on my birthday (which is this coming Friday)....sooooo. Keep in there, you are doing great, and such a great motivator also!

                    Sniffle.. thanks ladies. I guess one wee positive thing that came out of it, I'm doing my darndest not to use that one day as an excuse to keep the binge going. I'm nipping it in the carby bud!!

                    Eh? What am I saying... my blood sugars are all out of whack. Anywoo, thanks for the support!

                    On a side note, I ordered some awesome hair extensions from ebay for my costume - bright purple! I wonder if I'm going to look less "evil fairy" and more "purple troll doll"? There's a fine line!

                            Wow, this challenge is a CHALLENGE for me! I pray every day I don't have pain daily from RA. Today it was difficult to walk with pain in my left foot, a little inflammation from RA.

                            • Consume daily vitamins,
                            • drink 96 oz water,
                            • walk on treadmill for 30 minutes 5 days/wk,
                            • exercise 3-4Xs/wk,
                            • lose 10 lbs (get under 200 by Oct 31st),
                            • be active for 1 hr everyday
                            • NO CHEATING.
