  • WATER CHALLENGE!

    I've given myself a personal challenge to up my water intake, so I thought I'd give other people a chance to jump in.

    My Water Challenge: To drink at least 100 oz. of water each day. Given my weight-loss needs, 72 oz. is my bare minimum. I know I can get at least 100 oz. a day, though!

    Anyone else want to join me?

    I'll try, maybe it'll help me get my waters up. I been slackin in the water department

      I'd do it but I already drink over a gallon a day. The key is to keep a bottle of water in front of you at all times! hehe I personally drink out of a 1L rubbermade open top container. Easy to drink, and I drink walmart brand spring water. 100oz challenge, piece of cake!

          Not exactly sure the ounces but...

          I drink 4 1/2 liters of water a day and am trying to get to 7... anyone wanna tell me how many ounces are in 4 1/2 and 7 liters?

          *edit* okay, after looking online I'm drinking 150 ounces a day. and am on my way to 236 *end edit*
          Been on atkins since 10/29/03 and have lost around 20 pounds.

          Starting weight - 405
          Current weight - 385
          Target weight - 170
          Total weight loss wanted - 235 lbs.

            To be honest I really don't crave anything other than water so this challenge should be good for me. How do you find out how much water you need to consume each day?? I would like to know for myself. :P

              I've got a tip for the sports Moms & Dads out there. I take a 16.9 oz bottle of Aquafina water with me to my ds's games and finish it off before the game is over. That's an easy way for me to get one more bottle in during the day. :capital

                that sounds like a great idea. i haven't had enough water lately..
                i will up my water intake a lot... i say about 80 ounces a day!

                  From what I have read, you should take in half of your total body weight in water. I normally drink 130 ounces of water, I have a bottle that measures to 32 oz and I make sure that I drink at least 4 of those daily. Its paying off, I have lost 3 lbs in 1 day!

                    Ill join. I have alot of trouble with water. After just one bottle I get a sick stomach. Im trying to reach my goal this week 5 pounds to lose by Sat. S Ill drink my self sick. Ha, ha, ha. :capital

                        Oh, I will definately join this challenge. I have trouble w/ water on some days and this will keep me honest w/ myself! Plus, if I don't do the water, my hands look like my moms! <I love my mommy, but not ready for the hands>
                        So, I will start posting tommorrrow when I make goal each day. for me... bout 90 oz or more each day.
                        WooooooHoooooooo..... Gonna hafta think about remodeling my bathroom I am gonna be in there so much LOL

                          i keep a bottle of water in front of me and just keep drinking espescially wehn im surfing the net :babblefi:
                          but i sometimes do feel EXTRA full and then feel like ive overeaten. which sometimes i admit - did trigger of a binge :anger :letitout
                          sheeze ... why do we do these things to ourselves ???

                              I was drinking almost a gallon a day, but over the past few days I've slacked on it. Here's to my 100+ ounces a day!!!!!
