      We have a great group who have signed up! We start tomorrow morning - make sure you have your glass ready and get it filled early in the day. The earlier you start the earlier you'll finish.

      If you miss a day or two of making your pledge please don't quit - hydrating your body and keeping it hydrated daily are so important to your overall health. I hear so many people say "I hate water" well, when I first started doing this challenge last February I wasn't thrilled about water either. My drinks of choice were coffee and diet soda...if I managed to get a glass of water in during the day it probably wasn't something I had planned on it "just happened". The first few days of my first challenge were horrible but I stuck with it...by the end of the week I was doing better, by the end of the month I felt so much better and I've never looked back. Now I have a cup of decaf first thing in the morning with my first 32oz of water and maybe once a month I have a diet soda. Water is my drink of choice now - I know how much better I feel when I stay hydrated. Give yourself the benefit of the doubt - don't tell yourself over and over how much you hate water - just drink it and see how you feel at the end of the week and again at the end of the month.

      Water won't make you gain weight - it will help you flush the fat & toxins out of your body, will make your skin look and feel more luxurious plus you feel full longer so it also helps keep you from eating something you shouldn't be eating.

      Don't forget to post your totals as often as possible - daily is best so you don't forget and don't get your dates mixed up -- but if you can't get the computer daily then post as often as possible.

      Lets help each other this month - if you want to talk that's great...I love talking!!! LOL. Ok, I'm looking forward to a new month and a new beginning - I hope you are too!

            I am in too. I will be committing to the minimum of 64oz. I have to admit I have horrible water drinking habits. So if I can achieve 2 liters a day that will be awesome for me! Just wondering, if you add Cyrstal Light to your water does that count as water or not? Thanks. Looking forward to it!

                  No - nothing but pure water is counted for this challenge. If you add anything don't count it toward your daily total. FYI - look at the ingredients in crystal light - they are mostly chemicals and unless you are using the already prepared bottles you're probably injesting aspartame, which isn't recommended by Dr. Atkins. Also, you are allowed 3 sweetner portions daily so check that also.

                    Get ready -- we start in the morning.....as soon as you get up get your water bottle filled up and start drinking.

                    Once again - in case you haven't read the first post with the rules:

                    RULES


                    1. Commit to an amount of PURE water you will
                    consume each day (64oz minimum) - nothing but pure water counts toward this challenge so please don't count coffee, soda, tea, etc - just water!!

                    2. Sign up A.S.A.P. We start on May Day
                    May 1, 2010

                    3. Post your total water intake once a day (ie: May 1 - 64 oz)

                    4. All you have to do is post your name and how many ounces of water you are pledging each day. Each day put the date and number of ounces you drank for that day - it's that easy.

                    See you tomorrow when you post your total for the 1st time! Good luck.

                                welcome Crystal - no, it's never too late to join the water challenge. Good luck getting your 64 ounces in daily - come back here as often as possible and post the amount you drank so I can keep track.
