I don't know if any other of you Uk-ers out there are having difficulties with postal deliveries recently? Our has been bad for the past year or so but is now next to impossible. If and only if, we get a daily delivery it tends to come at around 5.30pm, some days we actually get three days worth in one day then nothing for the best part of the week. If we get parcel deliveries, they don't bang on the door but just stick a note through saying there's no-one in and can we pick it up from the sorting office (5 miles away no bus route etc).
It's really driving us crazy, I buy virutally everything mail order, my dh works from home and it's really seriously beginning to affect his business. I don't know whther or not this is just a local phenomena (we live in York) or if it's nationwide. Trying to get hold of the Post Office is a nightmare, and we've been told that if we want the "old" service we have to pay for it - and the rates are far from cheap!
