Life is too short for regrets and if you ever think you want to just up and do something do it.

I mean that!

I have met so many insanely wonderful folks on this board and now after meeting two of them (Barbde and Mindykins here in Florida) I can honestly say you are cheating yourself if you do not do the same...

my life is richer for it.

I have always tried to read who people were through writing and I think you can get a good sense of it. Well I did! We started up like we had known eachother for years and the conversation had always been there.

It is for sure you should be careful on the internet. But life is worth the little risk it takes to hook up with folks and get to know them in person!

I am half way through my vacation and have had time with two of this boards most darling girls ...there are tons more darling girls and guys on this board that I would love to meet....but these two actually took a chance and met me!

if you have the chance to meet someone off this board and feel safe doing it...I say go for it... this is one of the most wonderful vacations I have ever had and now I that I have been able to kiss and hug these girls in person I feel like there is so much more a realness to our relationship!

thanks you guys for the brilliant time at the Hardrock I could not have imagined this old hippy in a resort hotel but after dancing from the ceiling and making the entire place smell like my patchoulli ...well it just goes to show you life is all about the journey!

Well, Nursey dear, you knew I'd have to crack a joke about it. It was just too good not to!

I'm glad to hear that everyone had a good time and no one went to jail. Umm, no one did go to jail, did they?

There are a few people on here that I wouldn't mind meeting myself.

And, btw, did anyone have a camera and when do we get to see the pics?

awww Nursey, you're breaking my heart. Did you get my email? I accidently deleted your email with your number and couldn't call. Ben's family was in town visiting so I couldn't get away for a visit. Stupid family. Actually, it was nice to see my nieces. They grow up so fast. I wish I could have been part of the party. *cry*

OK, OMG!!
THAT was THE best weekend, MOST fun I have had in, like, FOREVER!!
What nice, sweet friends I have made on this board! We shopped, we ate, we drank, we almost got stuck in the stairwell, there were a few security incidences (none of which involved ME of course! ) We danced, we gambled, we danced! I think we slept a couple hours..... Never, once during the entire weekend was there any time of being uncomfortable. (Well, there was some discomfort for me, but that has nothing to do with the company. Oh, wait it WAS Nursey's fault! The things she gets me to do you would NOT believe!)
Mindy is an unbelievable artist with so much talent! We got to see a bit of Hollywood Beach before the tropical storms rolled in, THANK YOU FOR THAT Mindykins! They actually talked me into feeling good in a BIKINI!!! That is a very first in my life for me!
I will definitely be making a return trip down to see her. 90 minutes is not too far to drive to see a good friend! And now, I have another reason to schedule a trip to Seattle to see my brother!
I agree! If you have a desire to actually meet someone with whom you have bonded ... GO FOR IT!! My life is much fuller for having done so!!
Pictures are to come, but they have to be pre-approved by all of us first! LOL

PIA that is soo funny!! My daughter came with me. She is 20 and a blast to have around. Anyway, we were driving to Mindy's house to meet up with Mindy and Nursey. Daughter and I had met Mindy on a previous trip to the Hard Rock. Anyway, as we pulled into Mindy's driveway I looked at DD and said, "you know, you should NEVER do this" LOLOL. Then we laughed, having this whole scenario about Mindy having Nursey hostage in the house and how she was going to keep us all locked up or whatever. We were laughing because we had already met Mindy and knew she was as sweet as could be. So then it was NURSEY! OK, we hadn't met Nursey!! Nursey had Mindy tied up and gagged in her own home just waiting for US! LOLOL!!
So we pulled into the driveway, got out of the car.......and were attacked!!
SO MANY HUGS GOING AROUND!! It was really awesome!!
I still feel warm and fuzzy!!

LOL!!! I KNOW Pia! I saw the title and was like.... "OMG, WHAT is she writing!?" LOL!!!
DD loved everybody!! She told me she really likes my new friends and was really glad to be a part of it!! Luckily DD had some friends that used to live near us when she was growing up that now live in that area so she was able to hook up with them for the evenings. She is not 21 and not allowed in the clubs. Matter of fact, there was a LINE that she couldn't cross where we were dancing in the lobby area!! OK, well, that DIDN"T turn into a security issue, but how STUPID!
And I came prepared with the midol for Nursey, but she didn't need it! (whew! LOL. But yup, I was prepared!! )

NO BEING ANGRY!! it is a big waste of time and energy....especially if it is at people on this board!!!!... that really makes it a bigger waste of time and energy because there is an even more simple solution to being angry with what someone says here you know...... if they **** you off ignore them!...after all you can not even hear their voices! It does not make any sense to be angry....

ok back to the trip here is a pic of my prodigy niece getting the stuff together to make curry for Mindy! ..she is brilliant in the kitchen and I say this of course with out bias of any shape or form!

Taylor kept pace with me one for one we made Green Thai curry, satay and phad thai she made it hot and spicey and cooked like she was my right arm! I am sooo damn proud of this kid!!!! she will be one of the keepers of the recipes that is for sure!
