  • Report: Coach paid player to harm disabled boy

    PITTSBURGH (AP) - A T-ball coach allegedly paid one of his players $25 to hurt an 8-year-old mentally disabled teammate so he wouldn't have to put the boy in the game, police said Friday.

    Whats even sadder is the Coach found another child to do just that. I know they are young kids, but honestly if your children doesn't know right from wrong and whats hurtful and not by the time they are 5 then either the parents have fallen down on their duties or that child is just plain mean.

      Wow, that just makes me really ill. People never cease to amaze me with how ignorant they can be. They say the coach was competitive, what was he doing coaching T-ball in the first place? So frustrating.

        :::deep breath::::

        As the mother of a special needs kid, let me just say that this guy is lucky he's dealing with THAT mother and not me. I'd have been more than a little tempted to fight fire with fire. A case of beer and a $100 bill in the right neighborhood would have that "coach" (and I use the term loosely) knee-less, and I'd be hard pressed to feel really bad about it.

        Okay. I wouldn't feel bad about it. -But I wouldn't smile where others could see me. heh.

        How dare he treat a child like that, let alone encourage and/or coerce another child to do the same thing?!!

        Personally? I think that mom should get to do to him what he did to her child....or perhaps pick a big, scary man with full body tattoos and piercings and a name like "Tiny" to do it for her.

        Some people really do waste oxygen someone worthwhile could be breathing.

          can you imagine the kind of kids this jerk will produce. He should be banned from contact with all kids for life.

            Tell us how you really feel
            My kid plays t-ball and if someone threatened him I'd run them over with my truck. No sane jury would convict me.

              Go Brook! I have a couple of friends that would normally charge $75 to put in out of commission for a few months at least, I have a feeling in this case they'd do it for nothing!
