the Dead Zone,,, random thoughts

Ok, so there is this show my Mom watches called the dead zone, with ANthony Michael Hall, who despite very geeky beginnings, is now rather easy on the eyes...

He is a psychic who recieves pictures by touching things? So if he touches a paint brush, he sees what the person who was painting sees, of if he touches a guitar, what the guitar player saw and did... etc.

I had some thoughts, actually fell asleep laughing...

If he had to sit on a public toilet, do you think he would have the same bowel movement experience flashbacks of EVERYONE who sat on that toilet? How many people back do you suppose it would go?

If he, for example touched a womans' chest, would he see her through the eyes of every other man that had done the same thing? Or worse, every other man, through her eyes?

My sense of humor tends to be odd.. this struck me as hilarious.

The show is based on a novel by the master of horror, Stephen King. There was also a movie made starring Christopher Walken. I've watched the series a couple of times and found it to be pretty good. Michael Anthony Hall has matured nicely since his role in the movie, Weird Science.

I think I understand what you're saying, but I wouldn't think too hard about it. It's just a t.v. show. In the movie, Johnny does retreat from life so that he doesn't take the chance of coming in contact with peiople. But you have to give them a certain amount of leeway when they're making a series.

Still, I thought it would be fun to answer your questions. So, I gave it a shot.

I would suppose that it would only go back to the last person who sat there before he did. Perhaps all previous users would be eliminated by the newest sitter. And unless they had a particularily difficult time, I doubt he'd have a vision about them. It seems that he only has visions of bad things that are about to happen or that have happened. Ewwww! Sorry but that was my first thought. Umm, I don't think it would cause any visions as this would be a pleasant thing for most envolved, unless there was a rape some time in her past and she is still having very deep emotions about it or there's one in her future.

So, I don't know why he doesn't have visions from everything he touches. The ones he does have seem to come from very intense emotions, usually bad or evil ones. In the movie, Johnny sacrifices his own life to save the child of his love, Sarah. I think that if you're a fan of the series it would be good to read the book or watch the movie also.
