Thanks all

Just got back from the M.G. police department. I called yesterday and was patched through to a detective. I asked him what was going on, if anything and to please explain the process and the length of the process to me. He told me he got the case just a few hours ago and told me the first thing he needed to do was interview dh & I. I asked him when and where, and we agreed today at 1pm.

Turns out - I like him. I think. lol

I interviewed first and he had 6 photos to show me. Told me this guy may or may not be in them and to look at him. I looked at the photos & instantly recognized him. - And then started shaking like a leaf. Ugh. Go through the whole "Are you positive that's the man that attacked your husband?" thing and yep. That's him.

So long story short, since yesterday afternoon - they did find and talk to this guy. The detective couldn't/wouldn't tell me anything - but from what I got from the questions he asked me, this man told them that we were yelling and hollering racial slurs at him and then hit the back of his car with our motorcycle and that's why what went down went down.

WHAT?!!! Uggggggggggggggh.

Liar.

Anyway, the detective told me that the vehicle is registered to a much older man, so they have to establish the relationship between those two, then verify that he had the car that night, and blah blah blah. I just asked him to do whatever he had to do to get this bastard arrested and convicted and told him we'd do whatever needed to be done to assist. He promised to call us on Monday and give us an update.

Thank you again for the thoughts and prayers. You've all been amazing and I appreciate the safe place to vent.

Now...OFF TO GO PARRRRRRRRTY!!! - We're going to Wefest, so I won't be back until Sunday!

I just read this- what a story! I hope you are having a great time right now ! I've worked with pleny of cops and yes most of them are assholes- I am so sorry that during this hard time you also have to deal with that bullshit. Wishing the best for you and your hubby!
