We discussed this in another thread a while back. You said that you had too much time invested. Remember?Originally posted by mrslee44He complusive obessessive personality. And I would add in a tablespoon of respect.

Re: If you could change one thing about
Ok, don't get me wrong, I love this guy, he's a good man....but I would like him to be a little more observant of the world around him and to grasp the concept that keeping things tidy is a good thing.
I've said over and over that I'd love to have the apartment NOT look like we were college students on our own for the first time, and could we just please put things away where we find them...but that never seems to stick.
Anyway, good man but doesn't pay attention.

Two things actually -
First, to learn to not hold everything in and then blow up over the smallest thing.
Second, to have his snoring stop. I kicked him out of the bedroom last night. I could swear the neighbors could hear him.

Give me a minute...I've got a list a mile long.
Nope...too many to list.
After 13 years, I guess I've put up with a lot...oh wait! There is one...
Communication. Oh, that's such a tough one for men. Grunting does not count.

To have him care about his health; to do what it takes to improve his chances of living a long healthy life.

Re: If you could change one thing about
To have him be true\honest with himself. Not do things just because others want him to, do things that make him happy. CALL HIS OWN SHOTS! (for once)
To understand that he's 100 million times better than what he came from and not let it hold him back from chasing his dreams.
And of course, LOVE ME FOREVER!!!

Re: If you could change one thing about
Honestly, brutally honestly...... not one thing. All his traits make him what he is. After 22 years I know that changing one thing would change something else and then he would not be the man I married and adore. ok, I know..... pretty wierd, but true.

Re: If you could change one thing about
I'm not sure, but I agree with Bren - changing one thing would change others.
Just recently he started running with me - first he said he was doing it for himself, to get ready for hockey season, but then he said he was doing it so that I would not leave him behind - that he could live long to enjoy being together, so I'll accept that. I'd even go with the hockey story - fitness under any guise is still a good thing.
I guess if I could change one thing (which will likely never happen) it would be his way of eating (or snacking). He gets up from the table and probably an hour (more or less) can go back and start snacking. He's given up chips, but not bars or pop, so we'll see if the fitness regimin makes that change or not.Started Atkins: 21 Sep 2003
