  • New Movies...Any Recommendations?

Hey gang! The weekend is fast approaching and we haven't decided if we want to go see a movie or not.

Anyone seen a movie they like that is still playing at the theater?

If so, please pass on your recommendations.

Also, let me know what you bring in for a low-carb snack. My first thoughts are bits of cheese, cheese chips, pork rinds and water.

    Thanks!

Eat a good dinner (or lunch) before you go and take water with you. Any of the items you mentioned could be good, or some jerky. I brought a small pack of almonds with me last weekend and only ate half. I didn't need that, but with my son eating popcorn it took away any habit/temptation of sharing with him when he offered.

Exercising some time before you leave may help also.

We went to see Sky High. I'm a sucker for old Disney movies and family shows, so I brought my 10 year old to enjoy it with me. We both liked it, but to most people I probably wouldn't recommend it.

Anyone seen "Must Love Dogs" or "The Skeleton Key"?

If so, would you recommend them?

we never go to movies..i wait till their on DVD. $22 cdn here for two tickets to a movie... i could just as well wait and rent the dvd 4 or 5 times for that $$. or even buy it usually.

though i am curious about the documentary 'the march of the penguins' it's got alot of buzz lately?

Well, I know the price is steep but that is our little treat once in a while. Like a little date night.

We are home just about every weekend so watching a movie at home together is nice, but going out is just so special (to me).

I saw the previews on both those movies and the penquin movie and they all look good to me. My husband said that he wasn't paying $$ to see a documentary regarding the penguins, so I know that one is out.

Anyway, just looking around to see if anyone can say if they were worth seeing or not.

            Thanks!

Hubby & I went to the Wedding Crashers Tues night. I wouldn't say it was real funny, but it was a cute movie. Good story. I love Owen Wilson. I would recommend this if you want to smile

I'm taking the kids tomorrow to see March of the Penguins. Even though Kat's hubby doesn't want to see it I'll post a review. I hope the kids don't expect popcorn and soda's...I'd have to take out a small loan for that! Lol!

Hey, I just saw "Hitch" and I thought it was pretty cute.

We also saw "The Skeleton Key" and really liked it!

If you get a chance, I'd recommend both movies.

If you have a movie recommendation, please post it here.

                        Thanks!

Took the kids to see March of the Penguins and was surprised by how much I liked it and how fast paced it was. When it was over I was really surprised because I thought for sure time would draaaaaag. I give it an A+ and we'll be buying it when it comes out on DVD.

Just bumping this up in case someone has a movie (now showing or on DVD) that they would want to recommend.

                              I do plan to see:

                              Million Dollar Baby
                              March of the Penguins

Let me know if you have anything else that you liked.

Thanks so much! (I love movies!!)
