The last movie I saw in the theaters was Chronicles of Narnia and Rent. Went to Rent three times actually LOL. My folks just saw Brokeback Mountain and really liked it so we might hit that next. The ones I'm eagerly waiting for are X3 and Pirates of the Caribbean two
Walk The Line was GREAT!! (we actually saw it in the theatre) and NETFLIX brought me Hitchhikers Guide to the Galaxy and it stunk up the place. Yuck. The Fantastic Four is next for NETFLIX. (Takes me awhile...it's an attention span thing)
We just saw "Walk the Line" and really liked it. We came home and looked up what we could on Johnny Cash and June Carter. Joaquin Phoenix and Reese Witherspoon did an excellent job!!
Sin City. Whether you're a comic book afficionado or not, this movie is art. Excellent story line, excellent photography, the writing is amazing, and Frank Miller is just a flipping genius.
Spellbound. For those who love to spell fun d-o-c-umentary, this follows kids from their hometowns to a national spelling bee. You'll laugh out loud. Some of those kids are great.
Lion, the Witch and the Wardrobe. For kids and adults alike. Think Lord of the Rings with pint-sized stars and big talent. Outstanding effects, and a great movie for those who have or haven't read the books. Bits were borderline corny, but extremely forgivable.
We also saw "Raising Helen" and that was a cute movie. My DH said it was a "girlie" movie. He said that he liked, "How to Lose a Guy in 10 Days" better.
Wow, we all have such different tastes in movies! Bleu, I LOVED Hitchhiker's Guide movie (have it on DVD) and can't stand Corpse Bride (even though I generally like animated flicks).
Two nights ago I saw "Something New," very cute very funny romantic comedy. "Memoirs of a Geisha" was also good. My FAVOURITE movie of late has been the Queen Latifah movie "Last Holiday." I love her and it made me cry.
