  • March of the Penguins

I took my 2 sons ages 11 and 8 yesterday to see this. I loved it! They loved it! However, even though it's about penguins it's not a Disney movie about penguins. They show death and things that break your heart a little. Although they don't dwell on it. You'll see one example of say if an egg is on the frozen ground too long. But then they move on to something happier. For the most part it's just a fascinating story about Emperor penguins and the amazing ordeals they go through to have a baby penguin. I was extremely impressed with this movie and now I look at penguins in a much different way. My youngest is an avid penguin fan and he really loved the movie. He did well with the sad parts but he understands how harsh nature can be so he wasn't upset. I teared up once though! I rarely do that! All in all I think it was an excellent movie!

My DH and I went to see it -- and loved it. One of my favorite parts was when all the guy penguins were waiting for the women to show up -- and all of their heads tilted up and turned in the direction of the women at the same time!

Yeah...that was cool. It's amazing how they find each other!
