  • Gas price thread

    What's the highest/lowest price you've seen?

Once station around here had Premium for $3.119
I paid $2.699 for regular and over $45 for a tank.

What's the most you've spent on a tank of gas so far?
Anyone able to get cheaper gas?

I have to buy premium because my car has a performance chip and it's up to $2.75 a gallon where I buy gas. I haven't had to fill up in almost 2 weeks but I'm at a 1/4 of tank so I'll buy gas tomorrow. Hopefully it won't have gone up too much in the next 24hrs.

There's a website called www.tucsongasprices.com that I consult when it's time to buy gas. It gives the lowest and highest prices around town. It appears that there a similar website set up for all major cities...I found them for all the cities that I tried.......

2.599 at the Flying J across the boarder in Oregon, 2.639 at the Chevron down the street from the Flying J, 2.639 just down the street from our house.

Every time the news post, "Today's average gas prices are..." I swear someone in the gas company makes the prices go up the next day just to prove the news wrong!

I have yet to fill up my tank completely since we came home from my mom's back in the beginning of Augs...we paid $45 to fill it up in Reno, Nevada.. UGH! I usually just put $20 in the tank twice a month to get around in...I'm fearfull of what it's going to be like this winter when I have to fill it up! Instead of using my tuition money for school, I'll have to use it for gas...so much for trying to get a degree!

        ~Whining done~ for the minute...lol.

EPA gas mileage, safety, air pollution, and greenhouse gas estimates for new and used cars and trucks.

The way the prices are going, I'm not going to have any excuse not to buy another car with better gas mileage. We're 30 miles from school and work. With a round trip every day, and sometimes the need for two, the savings on gas will make the loan payment.

Weeelll... on a good day, 93 cents/litre (3.51/gallon) is pretty damn good. But on most days, its hovering at about 102.1 cents/litre (3.85/gallon) around here. (Toronto, Ontario, Canada). Ridiculous, I know.

You know it really stinks that the gas prices keep rising but I guess I'll keep the minivan instead of reverting back to the horse and buggy. Lets be thankful for our vehicles and gas...there worth every cent!! So, when will we advance to the flying cars (as in Back to the Future)..hee hee!

Last week it was 2.59.9 a gallon here. I'm going to have to fill up again about mid week.

This morning on the news they said that since Louisiana has the largest port for importing oil and processing it, plus the fact that they have shut down the rigs out in the water that the price of gas would probably go up another 5 cents a gal right off the bat w/i a couple of days.
