    Re: Our Moochiecat

I'm so very sorry for your loss. I know what you are going through as I lost my "Baby" to cancer in June. I was totally devastated. Baby had been my constant companion and best friend for 12 years and I still can't believe he is gone. I still look up expecting to see him. I've cried buckets of tears and still cry every time I pass his grave (I'm crying now, darn it!)

(((((hugs)))))) I know how devastating it can be to lose a beloved pet. Take comfort in knowing how good you were to her and how much she loved you. I am so sure you did the right thing. I used to work at a vet office and it was hard sometimes. People love their pets so much but some people are selfish in keeping them around when they are in pain/discomfort and only going to get worse. I am so sorry for your loss. take care.(((hugs)))

          Re: Our Moochiecat

We lost two of our old guys in one week this March. Both times we were afraid they'd go alone, so we took them to animal urgent care and held them while they were put to sleep.

It was devastating. I still miss them deeply. We have since adopted several rescue siamese and they are filling the void to the extent that they can.......but they aren't Caesar and Smoky.

I'm so very sorry Moochie. Pets are so deeply embedded in our lives. Losing one is never easy but they are forever in our hearts.

I'm so sorry about your loss Moochie. It's always hard to lose a pet that you've had for a long time. We lost our cat Whisky after 9 years, and it was horrible, and the house seemed empty for a long time, till my daughter decided a year later to get another cat, but we still have pics of Whisky, and talk about him. Time is a healer!

Thanks, folks...it's going to take us a long time to deal with this.

BTW, I hit my official 50 pounds gone mark yesterday, and I'm down another pound and a half this morning. One **** of a way to lose weight. I'm not very celebratory about it at this point in time, you know?
