Because NOBODY in the military that I have ever met would claim that a) the military is responsible for our constitutional democracy and b) INFER in any way that they are the only ones who are patriots. That's why.

I swear.. everytime I log onto this board, the Chit Chat forum reminds me more and more of the Equal Time forum. And they got rid of the ET forum for a reason.

I realize that the Chit Chat forum is here to discuss pretty much anything and everything, but PEOPLE... what's going on around here? Everything seems to end up as a personal attack these days. So much drama!

I'm not directing this to any ONE person.. it just seems to be the mood on here lately. Everyone is ready to argue about pretty much anything! I dont know about you, but I have enough drama in my life. I don't log onto a support board to get more.

I took drama in high school!

And Finelly does a good sock puppet theatre!

Maybe ADBB needs a theatre troupe.

Let's run to McDonald's and be mimes!

Hmmm.. at the moment I'd like to be trapped in a Big Mac box WITH a Big Mac.

Two all beef patties, special sauce, lettuce, cheese, pickles, onions on a sesame bun..... oh.. uhmmmm... sorry.

Actually, we got rid of ET because Cleo was making all the serious folks laugh too hard to argue with each other and it lost its charm.

We'll get over this little bump in the Chit Chat road soon enough.

Re: Sean Penn's rescue bid sinks

With the boat loaded with members of Penn's entourage, including a personal photographer, one bystander taunted the actor: "How are you going to get any people in that thing?"

I actually like the guy but this was just too funny.

I like his acting. I always have.

But, I thought it was somewhat humorous (not that anything has been lately) that he was out there in a leaking boat full of his entourage and a camera person, supposedly rescuing people.

Sorry about the drama, ChixRule. I hope no one actually had a Big Mac over this thread. It's so not worth it.

Like in real life, this is a place with lots of personalities and not everyone is going to agree all of the time.

I miss the old Sean Penn. I miss Spicoli! He was definitely the best character in Fast Times at Ridgemont High! Even then he was politically active.. haha

Spicoli: So what Jefferson was saying was "Hey! You know, we left this England place because it was bogus. So if we don't get some cool rules ourselves, pronto, we'll just be bogus too." Yeah?

And one of my favorite lines from the movie...

Spicoli: Relax, alright? My old man is a television repairman, he's got this ultimate set of tools. I can fix it.

but at least he was out there actually attempting to do something, instead of just writing a check
He might aswell have been skipping rocks...He wasn't doing anything but using tv to get his face out there. Theres alot of people stepping up and helping who have not been in the spotlight...
