I'm starting to read the Samaria series by Sharon Shinn. I usually don't like sci-fi fantasy, but I've read three other Shinn books, The ShapeChanger's Wife, Summers at Castle Auburn, and The Safe Keeper's Secret, and thought they were very well-written books. And besides, the latest Stephanie Plum novel has a long waiting list at my public library system so the Shinn books are filling my reading void nicely.

Re: Wotcha Reading?
A great horror by Alice Kaseberg called, "Intermediate Algebra: Edition 3", and for a good time one by Dr. Robert C. Atkins called, "Dr. Atkins New Diet Revlution".
Although I have been doing some "light" reading in good book this past couple of weeks to bulk up on my life.
Other then that I've also found some solitude in Ann-Marie MacDonald's "Fall On Your Knees"; part of the Oprah's Book Club. I couldn't tell you much since I haven't gotten past the first chapter.

Re: Wotcha Reading?
Spell of the Highlander by Karen Marie Moning. It's part of her MacKelter Highlander series and I LOVE LOVE LOVE them. I'm telling ya ladies... these Highlanders are HOT and the subject of all my uhmmm.. fantasies these days. Haha
A friend loaned me Kiss of the Highlander and I was determined NOT to read it.. just didn't seem like my cup of tea. When I had absolutely NOTHING left to read, I broke down and started it. I finished it in a day and was calling her up for the sequel.
Gotta love those Highlanders! Mmmmmmmmm

Re: Wotcha Reading?
I have a great book like that, its called "Blood Letters and Bad Men" and its like all the Bad guys from as far back as there are records! Its great cause they have like 1 to 5 pages on each one so you can pick it up and read little bits at a time.Originally posted by RichtI'm in the process of reading a book on gangsters. Re: Wotcha Reading?
A gangster book! I used to be obsessed with true crime stories when I was a teen--Bonnie and Clyde, Capone, Myer Lanski, etc. Then I moved to the New York/New Jersey area and met people with relatives in the mob families--and now I know that the Mafia is a fairytale story that mothers tell their children.
