How did you come up with your handle/username?

I'm always very interested in how people came up with their handle/username.

My story. My friend IWILLBETHIN told me about Atkins and this board so I thought, well I want to be thin too so.....WANNABETHINTOO.... I know, not very original. But, I'm also known as OB1 and Angelface....'cause I have a halo.

Well, I'll tell you how I came to my user handle, since wannabebossy is pressing hard on me for info.

I actually started out online chatting in a political chatroom for a few years. I doubt anyone here knows what WBS was, but it was a huge chat site, and we'd have upwards of 60 people in the political chatroom at a time, so I became extremely adept at typing quickly and thinking quickly. As it is, I'm pretty chatty (not that you've noticed by my post count or anything), so I changed my handle way back then to cleochatra.

There's a knock knock joke for those in denial and it's pretty sarcastic and hilarious.

It goes

Knock, Knock
Who's there?
Cleopatra
Cleopatra who?
Cleopatra, queen of denial!

So, while I lived in Texas, I changed it to Cleochatra Queen of the De West Nile Virus.

Here in Colorado I'm just back to being in De Nile. *LOL*

It's more or less of a self-effacing joke.

My posting style is really conversational and best for the chatroom scene, but there were too many leghumpers and weirdoes, or young kids with pimple creams who thought a fun time was trying to crash the room. Bulletin Boards are much quieter.

I used to be ImCookin' but when I tried to come back to the board it wouldn't let me take my old user name. So I typed "Finally" but mistyped it and it came out "Finelly" and I thought, oh, what the heck.......

My username cruisergal came from the fact that I love to cruise, and have been on quite a number of them. I am also presently a part time cruise independent consultant for a travel agency. Gets me, my family, friends, cheap rates for my cruises! That's it!

I'm almost as imaginative as Bren. My first name is Rich and my surname begins with a "T"!

Mine is dreamof145...

My mother's name was Dreama. I knew if I used her name, it would inspire me to stick with this WOE and succeed. Thus, I came up with Dreamof145. It keeps her near and dear to my heart and gives me motivation to not give up on myself. I feel like she is on this journey to health with me & it keeps me inspired.

I call my niece a lot of nicknames that have Bug in them or just plain ol' Bug. Usually Love Bug now-a-days but Bug-a-boo was one of them. Also on every other site I always went by just "Rhonda" but I always wished I could come up with something creative so when I joined this board I went out on a limb. If I had to come up with a different name I'd be at a loss!

Well, I tried to create Bren a long time ago because that's MY name too LOL. Little did I know there was one here already!

I made goin2Bgood because this is my 2nd time around on Atkins and I was "going to be good." I'm pleased to say since I started in Jan., I've stuck to my name well

"Matawguro" means "respected teacher". It's the rank I hold for the particular Filipino stick/sword fighting system I practice.
