How did you come up with your handle/username?

    First name and first 2 letters of my last name, which is long. And for some reason my friends have always called me Barb De! I don't know why either, there weren't any other Barb's around....

          Mine came from a combination of my nickname given by my father: Punkin and the fact that I no longer wanted to resemble a pumpkin...

          Hence - NoMorePumpkin.

          I sign my posts as Punkin-kid because there is another Punkin on the Board - Punkin50. She is eldest and has been here longer, so I'm Punkin-kid.

            Sadie was my dog, and 147 was my old address. I used that name years ago on a vetrinary bulletin board i posted to. so i didn't have to use my real name. Sadie has been gone now 9 yrs..i have a different dog. his name is mickey but for some reason i've always jsut used that nick.

            Even though i posted my name in my signature, everyone on here still calls me Sadie. Funny, I'm so used to it now i'm surprised i don't introduce myself to ppl as sadie.

              OH OH...I wanna play too!

              When I was 16 years old...my best friends Step-father would shout out at the top of his lungs this little phrase EVERY stinking time I went over there. Yeah....he was a drunk...nice huh?

              Anyway the phrase was this....
              "Helen Of Troy...Face that Launched A Thousand Ships!"

              HOTFLATS!

              I have been using this as a screen name for almost 10 years!

                        five by five is a term that I got from the tv show buffy the vampire slayer.

                        The term is used by the character Faith. I thought that since in the show she dealt with redemption from the things she did that I in a way am dealing with redemption from a previous way of eating.

                        If you research the term five by five there are several meanings going back to the 30's. For me it just means that everything is clear I know what I have to do to succeed.

                          Squeaker is one of my cats' names. Actually it isn't, his name is Pippin. But he squeaks... Well, actually no he doesn't squeak he used to squeak but now he shrieks. And I guess squeaker is better than shreiker. But my family probably wouldn't agree.....

                              Well, my real nickname is "Butterbean", but when I decided to go low carb I decided that since butterbeans are pretty high in carbs I better change my name. Since I have no children and my little doggie Gizmo is like my child I became "MotherOfGizmo"
