Well, now I have to unrant. lol Last night I got home from the gym, dreading the thought of going food shopping and found out that DH already did it!!! See why I love him so? He enjoys shopping so figured he might as well do it as opposed to lying on the couch watching daytime t.v. junk. and he bought 17 strip loin steaks. Yummay!!

My Rant Is About Folks Who Are Retiring (in One Month And 4 Days) And Make A Big Damn Deal About It All Over This Forum And Think They Are So Hot Stuff!!!! And Got Their Orders Yesterday And Arranged To Have Their Household Goods Moved And Made Reservations....they Are Such Annoying People.

I might as well title my rants "Megs Adventures in Driving"

Picture this:
Morning. Big Yellow School bus. School bus stops to pick up kids. Law says: both lanes of traffic have to stop. So I stop. Some jerk comes barrelling down my lane and somehow notices a Big Yellow School Bus and me stopped about 20 feet from my rear bumper. He slams on his brakes and comes to a screeching halt (without hitting me, thankfully!)

So school bus begins to move. I begin to move. What does the jerk behind me do? He starts beeping his stupid horn at me.

Saturday night (sunday morning) around 1:30am, I called in a reported a drunk driver who was infront of me. I told them it was a white 1990ish pontiac grand-am with black graphics on the side, 4-door and lisence plate #. About 15 minutes later, I get pulled over (in my 2002 white pontiac sunfire, 2-door) and had to take a breathalizer.....

My rant is this. Today I get an email from a coworker and swear to God she says, "If you didn't get this FINAL message, please let me know." And seriously, she was not kidding. WHAT? OK, chickie I'll put my ESP to work and try to determine if I got all the messages you sent me today. Puhlease!

Rant: Stupid @$%)*$ @#$)$ @#$)*#% flood damage from someone else's apartment. Okay. Fine. I get it. One night's sleep completely disrupted. Next day completely disrupted. Okay. #@$$%)*$% , but okay...........

Until I work from 10pm-7am and am sitting in a lawyers office by 8:15am and don't get home until 1:30pm. I laid down at something like 1:50pm, strettttttched, smiled...I think I may have even purred. I fall blissfully asleep only to be awakened 10 minutes later. By what? CONSTRUCTION AND REPAIRS ACROSS THE HALL. Drills, air compressors, skill saw, and Lord knows what else.

I'm soooo tired. Grrrrrrrr.

Construction...supposed to merge into left lane ...wait in that lane for 40 mins. finally get to go...car that has not merged like they were supposed to (and has not waited in traffic at all) decides that now they need to merge right in front of me. When I won't let them in they honk there horn and start swearing at me....geez, I know how people get road rage

Ambulence coming down the road so I pull over to let it by and get passed by the car behind me and flipped off...

People driving 20 mph in a 45...

Okay, enough whining..most of the people I encounter in the great state of Maine are really nice!!

I hate drivers that think you can read their mind. On my way home I turn left onto what turns into a three lane street. Well, when you turn left there are only two lanes to turn into as the far right one is for oncoming traffic the other way. So I always get in the far turn lane so that I can get the middle lane anyway all the morons who want the middle lane but are in the closest turn lane try to come over into the middle lane.. wtf am I supposed to go? Up on the island that divides the middle from the far right? Also, whats up with people and their turn signals? Do they not know how to use them? Sorry, but if your sorry butt can't turn on a turn signal I'm not going to slow down or speed up for you.

Dingbat women who put on their makeup in the car. I was behind some lady the other day who was all over the road because she was putting on her makeup. Either get up earlier or put it on when you get to work! Don't risk my life for your vanity.

People who can't pull off the road to use their cell phones. What is SO important that you have to talk on a cell phone while driving? Seriously.. if it's nto a matter of life and death hang the phone up and pay attention to the road!

I hate drivers who have a red light and they are turning right who just jump out into the middle of traffic. Hey buddy, if I hit your sorry butt YOU are at fault.. I'm going 55 (the speed limit) and have the right away.. you're at a dead stop and have a red light.

People who use their horns to much. Geez.. lay off. Honking at me isn't going to make me go faster if anything it'll make me go slower.

Big trucks, SUV's, cars, etc. that use their brights.. hello, you're blinding people who drive little cars like me. If I can't see where I am going.. I ain't going.

Ok.. the list goes on and on. I'm not going to say I'm a perfect driver but at least I try to drive so others are safe.

I wont tell you how I had a commute on the 5 in SO Cal that took me two hours to go 40 miles, so I got dressed, from pajamas to dress complete with nylons, makeup and hair sitting in traffic... just about everyday. All I did before I left the house was brush my teeth.

I just deleted a long convoluted rant about my day today.

In a nutshell, the owners of the stores in our city live on the other side of the country...there are four family members, and basically, sometimes one hand doesn't know what the other is doing.
One fellow uses the other two guys emails instead of getting his own email, and he first sent a request for an inventory out under one name, then asked for replies to always be sent to the other name.....
He neglected to email me both of the inventory forms I needed, but said he did. I had emailed him the one inventory I was able to do, but he said he didn't get it....yeah...whatever.
Some days you just have to suck it up, get the work done and send it along because there's no point in bringing up the bits and pieces.

They need to sit down and have more family meetings..that's what it boils down to.

And one of the guys was at our store today and he just puts us all on edge...my manager was quite tense and we bore the brunt of it. I love her though, and I know she's under a lot of stress when he's there, so I understand, but still, it's really aggravating.

I thought I had a rant about my hubby, but taken in perspective, it's so small in the scheme of things, why should I let it cause me discomfort?

Who does it hurt for me to get annoyed and all steamed up over minor inconveniences? ME!!

Yes, I dislike poor drivers, especially those who are "accidents waiting to happen", or those who leave a trail of accidents, confused/disgusted drivers and other problems in their wake, but it still doesn't solve anything for me to get so uptight that my driving suffers for it.
