    Cleo,

I will totally watch Charlie Brown tomorrow night, but that is a warm-up while the trick-or-treaters are banging on the door. I plan on watching "The Exorcist", "Nightmare on Elm Street 1", "Halloween I" and "Halloween II" tomorrow night.

We have friends come over and do this every Halloween. Sometimes the movies change, but the people are the same. The one thing that will change this year is that I refuse to make the carmel popcorn balls and the brownies. This year it is bring your own "bad" snacks if you want them cause here it will be celery, cheese ball, ham ball and pork rinds! I am still too weak to have all that stuff in my hands (making it) and not take a taste. So, no Halloween treats from me!

I'm with you Diva. There's enough scary things in the world without me being afraid to go up the stairs after watching one of those movies. hee hee

Charlie Brown is my favourite Halloween show. I like the Nightmare Before Christmas. It's a very sweet story, but still has some horror-ness about it - in a kid friendly way. It's by Tim Burton, the same guy who did Corpse Bride (which I haven't seen) but the characters look very similar.

I'm a scaredy cat too. I don't watch any scary movies. My friends talked me in to watching "The Ring" last year and I will never be peer pressured again cause I was terrified! I even change the channel during commercials for scary movies!

when I was little I had a bad dream from watching the commercial for The Shining. This past weekend I wathced Saw and Saw II. They were ok. Movies just don't scare me. But when the dog started barking at something behind my bedroom door at 1:30 am saturday morning, now that scared me BAD!!!

If anyone needs a suggestion, I like 13 Ghosts for a scary movie. The DVD is pretty cool too, it has an extra feature that is the background story for all the ghosts.

The Shining is one of my all time favorites! I love the suspense/scary movies, not so much the bloody ones!

Speaking of...has anyone been watching the Most Haunted-Live on the Travel Channel? It's pretty goofy, but entertaining! It's on tonight, searching for Jack the Ripper, or something like that!

I don't get the travel channel. But last night on TLC they were talking about possessed possessions. Dolls and pix who's eyes move. Mirrors being portals that spirits can send messages through...yeah, that's all I saw. They were going to show something about an African death mask - everyone who's ever owned it died. Okay, so I left to take the dog for a walk before I got so freaked out I'd never leave the house again. *l*

                        Re: Your favorite Halloween movies?

This thread just reminded me of something. Before our 2nd son was born our oldest had a toy that was Ernie (from Seasame Street) in a car and when you turned it on it would make a rev noise. Anyway one day it stuck on the rev noise and wouldn't stop...so I took out the batteries...you guessed it...it kept doing it anyway. We threw it in the dumpster. lol! From then on when my husband and I talk about something creepy we reference "Evil Ernie". lol!

I watched Most Haunted as much as I could over the last 3 days...it was pretty cool. "It's the Great Pumpkin Charlie Brown" is probably my favorite. Last night when I took the kids trick or treating at the company stores I asked my youngest if he got a rock yet. Cracked us both up. The Shining is cool...13 Ghosts scared me mega big time. The Sixth Sense and Signs are good as well. It seems the more mentally scary a movie is the more it scares me. I'm a weenie.

                          Re: Your favorite Halloween movies?

Oh that reminded me...I watched the Most Haunted, but it seemed a little fake to me...but yes I continued watching it. I was amused by the running ticker at the bottom with people commenting on 'stuff' that was happening at their own homes while watching the show. They were seeing things on the cams, on the TV, their animals reacting, etc. I was cracking up at that one...yeah right.

Well, here's the weird thing...toward the end of the show last night, when they were doing the last seance when Max the dog started barking (not the first time he'd barked)...our cat was lying on the ground all stretched out sound asleep...she woke up, started watching the TV, then got up and jumped on on me and layed on my hip and started nuzzling me and stayed with me for the next 20 minutes, until the show was over...this is not in her personality at all. It was weird...and I'm sure just a coinsidence, but weird all the same!
