Some of you may remember when bf and myself unexpectedly lost our little kitty, Moochie, at the end of August.
Out of tragedy can come good things though, and I'm signed up for the next orientation class to volunteer at our local SPCA. Bf and myself have been going in once a week as it is to visit the kitties, and while it can be sad, it's an absolute delight to spend time there. The really rewarding thing is when we go in and the staff is all "Hey! Rupert (or Vader, or Sphinx...) got adopted!!" It's a good feeling to know they are in homes where they are wanted and loved...especially when some of them have gone through some bad times.
And just over two weeks ago, we brought home our new fuzzy friend, Ella! The first week was weird, because although she's a torti like Moochie, she's got a very very different personality. I think we three fit together pretty good though, and each day is some new discovery for all of us.
Here's Ella and myself..and yes, I'm in pyjamas, and it's only like, 3:30 in the afternoon...lol The motto in our place is "Any time is jammie time!" and we had been out scootering earlier and were frozen, so warm jammies were a must when we got home.
She's got two patches of white on her..one is at her neck, as if her tshirt is showing..lol..and you can see one spot on her upper lip...as if she missed licking a drop of cream off.
She has no concept of personal space and will stick her face right in yours..which was a little disconcerting at first because we thought she was going to smack us...but she's just friendly. She's a good girl and we look forward to many years of sharing our time together.
