Robbie-- I meant Dm in the 70's-80's... 70's were very rudimentary synthesizer. And yes, I am totally addicted to the numa numa song! I danced for over an hour to it today!
Where's your list, doll? You're one of the reasons I started this! I want your music list.

If you don't know where you are going, you will wind up somewhere else. - Yogi Berra
Depeche Mode was a real new wave band in the 70's who did some pretty awesome songs but they were uber formuliac. You'd get a song like, "Just can't get enough" and the basic back beat was present in prettyt much evey song on that album. *lol* When they got closer to their 'farker mood' with songs like "Blasphemous Rumors" and "Fly on the Windscreen" and some of their other amazing tunes I came to forgive their earlier music. So Robbie was right. I'd meant to say I preferred their 80's music, but their 70's wasn't all that bad.
As for O-zone. That song! and those guys! They are absolutely amazing. I am sorry the song never became an actual hit here. They tried to release it this year earlier but it never went higher than the high 60's on the chart? Maybe a lot was lost in translation? the Romanian romanticizes the song, in my opinion. It's addicting, I love the song, and it's got an awesome beat.
And whomever said Gwen Stefani! I love her new album. It really is catchy. Harijouku (sp) Girls and Hollaback Girl are awesome. (Yes, I just admitted that freely and of my own volition)

As for music, I'm not your typical listener. I don't have an iPod or MP3 player and I don't download MP3s off the net. I don't have a CD collection nor do I have any sort of audio entertainment equipment in my room.
However, I can't do without music in the car. I've found that I easily get tired of listening to CDs or casette tapes so I prefer the variety of radio. I'm an avid listener of a local pop station so I'm familiar with most of the stuf youngins' listen to these days. On Fridays they play 80s stuff which I really enjoy. Ironically, I only appreciated the music of my high school youth when I was in my late 20s. These days any 80s New Wave gets me going. When the station used to play 70s stuff, their Eatrh Wind & Fire mix kept me tapping on my steering wheel. Unfortunately the DJs don't always mention the title/artist of the song so most of the time I can't identify what I'm listening to.
As for downloading MP3s, the one time I did play around with Kazaa, I downloaded the following which are still sitting around on my hard drive...
I had the office girls swooning the last time I did that number.

I'm typing, singing and dancing at the same time. They sound like Erasure, don't they? You can close down the window if you don't want to see the little video.

The Potter one was actually pretty good! I'm impressed, save for some of the cheesy music. The BSB one had me rolling, though! I almost fell out of my chair. Those guys were great!!! Who was the poor roommate on the computer? *lol*
