Anyone able to get an Xbox 360?

A coworker of mine lined up at 5:30 a.m. this morning and never ended up getting one. he wasn't impressed LOL.

The ebay auctions are in the thousands right now, so if you did get one you might wanna leave them packaged and make some $$

If someone wants it that badly, they'll pay any price for it. The National Zoo in Washington DC has a baby panda. They offered a limited number of free tickets to see the little guy. Some of those tickets ended up on EBay for hundreds of dollars.

While I think the little panda is cute and would like to see him one day, I ain't spending money for a ticket! Better to just go to the Smithsonian Castle and watch him on the free panda cam.

A few years ago my dh was in a store and somehow won a "chance" to buy a Furby. He didn't win the actual toy, just an opportunity to line up to buy one. Women were offering him all kinds of stuff for this ticket. He didn't sell it, but he did give it away to someone. That was a couple of years ago. Now they can't give these things away. I don't know how people get themselves caught up in all this.

Hey I am crazy but not that bad. 3 years ago my daughter wanted a boo doll "monsters inc" They were like $30. I paid $60. In my defense it was my special needs daughter that wanted nothing else. 3 years later Boo never leaves her side. (I think she needs a new one hmmmm)

Speaking of all the craziness, I remember it with the Cabbage Patch Kids dolls, I noticed this year that they are trying to bring them back, I haven't heard one person saying they're buying one. Weird how its always one or 2 things each year, last year it was ipods if I remember correctly.

I'm a big believer that these things are staged. Seriously, I'm not falling for microsofts production or shipping problems. I really believe companies build up the hype, then they puposely offer these things in limited numbers to create a 'craze'.

Two months from now you'll be able to walk into any walmart and buy your new Xbox 360....it's all for xmas sales I think.

I remember back in the 80's my mom went shopping in Buffalo to get me a 'ColecoVision' system. LOL I've heard all those original systems and nostalgia games are really in now too, and very hard to find. I have a pacman/galaga game i bought last year that hooks up directly to the tv but it's a new recreation..not an original.
