Ain't no time like the present. Take your camera, too. You can record and post the whole procedure for those of us who want to see it.

Don't drink before hand, but be sure and have a bottle in the car, you're gonna need a belt afterwards!

I've lived with it most of my life. No matter what I tell a man, he has got to go check it out for himself. It must be second nature to them. But, that could be a whole new thread ...... the differences between men and women. lol Let's not start that though. It could lead to a full fledged war.

              Re: Tattoos???

OK all these posts and only two pictures? C'mon show the ink!

Here's mine, it's backwards I just took the picture in the mirror, so it's on my right shoulder. I've been trying to come up with another one, something for my kids, I was thinking along the lines of a tribal band but they are becoming so cliche' now. SO now I'm thinking a nightscape on my other shoulder, the moon representing my wife (she's ruled by the moon , big time!) and stars depicting my kids with their initials in the larger stars. Then lots of purple and blue misty stuff in the background, just an idea.

              Anyway here's the pic:

Yes I'm eating a smore in the picture, how do you think I got so fat?

                Re: Tattoos???

I have one tattoo on my chest.

I'm going to get another one - a "California License Plate" (One across my lower back. LOL) - but it's going to be tiny. It's going to be 3 diamonds to represent "The Diamond Trio" - me and my girls. We're all April babies

Piercings are a whole different story. LOL I have a body piercing and I *love* it. I'm planning on going in before Christmas to get my nose pierced and will be going in post-tummy tuck to get my new belly button pierced

Thanks for showing your "ink" you guys..Jim I think haivng a tribute to your family done is wonderful ...especially now ...I can visualize the moon and stars and would be bowled over by the romance if my husband did something like that!!!!
....hmmm I wonder what being conservative has to do with getting a tattoo? ...I know lots of "conservative" folks who have mutliple tatts!!! and really what on earth does it have to do with being a professional?.I am certainly a professional (as most of you know) and in a line of work that REQUIRES folks to completely trust me..and they do! This is body art ..not a political or moral statement ...I am tattooed to enhance and adorn my body...better than plastic surgery in my case ...
I do not have them on my neck or anywhere they are grossly evident..however they are NOT discreet either...

I agree with Heidi conservative and professional have nothing to do with it. I work in a very professional, very old school financial company. That is why I don't have a grim reaper holding a severed head on my forearm (I know someone who has that, and boy do they regret it now). I show it off all summer, but at work nobody is the wiser. But I freely talk about it, too. I don't like too many tatts, but a good balance is cool too.

I've got 3 as well. I have a bulldog on my right shoulder (upper arm), a mustang (horse) on my right bicep, and an African symbol for humility on my right ankle as a little reminder.

I'm very conservative as well, and made sure I got them all in places I could cover up in the work place. The horse I don't like and wish I never got. I got it when I was 16 at a less than reputable place. It was our high school mascot and I wanted to kind of do that as a symbol of how much football and stuff changed my life at the time.

Aaah....the stupid crap we do as kids...

I have one on the back of my neck, right at the top of my spine, so it is easily covered by a regular t-shirt. It's a cross. It was my first, and definately not my last. I'm have one drawn up for my lower back...their angel wings w/ the serenity prayer drawn up like feathers...it's almost done. I always wanted "what goes around comes around" on my wrist or ankle, but I saw someone has that, so it's not original anymore.

I like being able to cover my cross up, but show it if I want to.
