Hey, I forgot about the "Mothman" -- he is supposed to exist too.

I live in Uk Probably I've already heard about our Nessie (Loch Ness Monster), the monster living in Loch Ness, a long, deep lake near Inverness, Scotland.
here's one of the several links for you and DH to go through and enjoy!

Did I mention the Goat Man in my post?

Or the Bunny Man Bridge Murders? Bunny man was something one of my older sister's boyfriends told me about. He used to swear it was true, but I thought he was just being a pain-in-the-you-know-what teenager, trying to scare a poor little elementary school kid like me because the bridge in question was nearby. Then I came across this website a couple of years ago:

Thanks for the post and the link!!!

What is your opinion of Nessie?

I've always thought that it was a dinosaur that somehow managed to survive. I've read plenty of articles where things from the past were found alive...so it is possible...

Here in Vermont we have something like the Loch Ness monster but its name is Champ and it supposedly lives in Lake Champlain in Burlington. Here are a few links that report the legend and a sighting of the monster!

Last night my husband was watching a thing called UFOs in Southern Illinois on the Discover channel. It was weird. There was even Police officers that were saying they saw a UFO. Supposedly a bunch of people that live in nearby towns to us saw the same UFO on a paticular night a few years ago. I don't know where I was, but I didn't see any. I am not sure I believe in them anyway. he he! My husband does.

(giggle) I know what you mean. On Halloween we were coming home late and were on our porch and DH and I happened to look up and there was a light zig-zagging around in the sky and then it just shot off. Well, what can you think other than a UFO? Then he says he's going to get a flash light and signal them or stay outside looking for them -- eeek! Not me...I ran inside as fast as I could! (I think he just tries to scare me sometimes, but this is not the first time I've seen strange things in the sky -- who knows what it could be?)

No actual photographs exist, but I have heard that every once in a while, someone says they spotted one...

I am skeptical myself. He probably lives with Bigfoot.

Re: BigFoot - Legends in your area?

Florida seems to be a very "haunted" area, but the sightings I've always heard about are:

The ovideo lights on Snow Hill Road near Oviedo and Chuluota, Florida. Its also called the chuluota lights, and is a greenish hazy blob of light that just appears and then fades away, although in some cases it chases people. I don't know about the chasing people part...could have just been my parents trying to scare me.

Then there's the Green Swamp where the Skunk Ape lives. I personally have never seen him even though I've canoed through the area.

Next, the Bardin Bugar that's been sighted in the pine woods near Palatka. Apparently its simular to a skunk ape.

And then the "official" the Skunk Ape that's a large, hairy, man-like beast that's been sighted in the Everglades and smells absolutely terrible.

This is a fun thread. I love reading everyone's stories.

We have new members and maybe they have a story to add too?

It is getting close to Halloween again and my DH reminded me that last year we thought we saw a UFO...(gulp!) He said that we were going to wave flashlights this year!! I said, "No Way!" Then he proceeds to wave a light into the sky like he's trying to get them to notice us -- I ran inside real quick! Who knows...? Maybe they really do have something out there and here he is waving to them with lights -- they will come get us!

                            Eek!

Thanks Kat - what a great site, I too love reading these type of stories.

I was suprised at the amount of sightings of bigfoot!! I always thought it was a fictitious charactor!

Jane, I never know what to believe...who can say whether it is real or not unless you are there yourself in the experience?

Anyone else have any stories or legends?
