Re: First year alone on Christmas

thanks everyone for the support and advice!

As my luck would have it, my computer broke and wasnt able to get online at all since that last post

Actually - my parents, brother and sister all live within 10 miles of me. So I wouldnt of had to fly to see them, but as much as I wanted to show up over there unannounced, i didnt because I could just see the look on their faces now. And I didnt wanna have to go postal on my family on Christmas! lol.

We had a great time anyway together! We cooked all morning, had some friends over for a feast, then we all went sled riding!!!! I felt like I was 12 again! lol.

Thanks again for all the support, you guys are amazing!

Re: First year alone on Christmas

I am awestruck. My family is something else, but this blows me away.

My two cents... I would really consider not doing the family holiday thing again, ever. If how you look is a condition for love, it aint real love.

"Sorry folks, I started my own traditions last year, when I wasnt pretty enough for your table... but now that I am totally hot and you want to show me off... well, cant be breaking the tradition of spending Christmas with those who REALLY love you now can we?"

You have my heart. I am glad you were able to celebrate with folks who deserved your company.
