I thought the movie aligned itself with the book pretty well. Great story.

I thought King Kong was terrible! I considered leaving shortly after the 20 Brontosaurus pileup in the canyon, and when blondie started doing the "Walk Like an Egyptian" dance in front of Kong, I was outtadare.

            I saw Narnia - I give it 9/10 - great show.

What I didn't like was the advertisements before the movie:

One for chocolate bars with a Narnia Competion
One for McDonalds Happy meals with Narnia toy
and just for good measure an ice cream advert.

Why is Australia the second fattest nation to America ? Gee I dunno.....

Supposedly the "Narnia" movie is the 1st of several movies to be made from the famous series. From what I've read, they were waiting to see what the success would be after the first movie came out, which we all know was a hit.

personally I think that the other books were not as good as The Lion, the Witch and the Wardrobe. So, I am not sure how the others would translate into as good a movie.

Would you believe the LW&W is the only book I've read out of the series? Despite it being an Intermediate level book (It was, in fact, read to me as a 4th grader), I'm known for reading it to my Kindergarteners every year. I swear, 5 and 6 year olds make this story come ALIVE.

I'm told Prince Caspian will be the next production, so I suppose I should pick up a copy.

That's what I've heard as well, since it is the only other book in the series to feature all four Pevensie kids. I think "Dawn Treader" will come next since it has Lucy & Edmund.

We've seen it twice which speaks highly for the movie since they only play here for 6 days!!
