    A mother in Dallas is one of several parents complaining about a new interactive book for toddlers in which Sesame Street character Elmo asks "who wants to die?" according to a Local 6 News report.

    Okay.. I am seriously thinking that's NOT what it's supposed to say, there are times when toddlers are hard to understand, and I think possibly they aren't hearing what elmo is REALLY supposed to be saying.

      You'd have to read the article, the doll actually says that! Not the toddler.

        LOL, I know the doll does. But I've SEEN elmo on TV etc, and there are times when I can barely understand what he's saying, I am just saying.. it could possibly be that he's saying something ELSE and it just sounds like die to the human ear. A lot of things dolls say are hard to understand, I'm constantly mishearing things my kids say, or ocassionally have to laugh because I'm confused because I hear something wierd that makes no sense that isn't really what they are saying. Doll speak isn't the greatest as far as pronunciation goes.

            Well Jasmain, I guess that's the perfect argument that folks should teach their kids how to talk the old fashioned way, instead of relying on some thing to do it for you!

              I half remember a talking book several years ago having profanity in it, and I THINK that it was a Sesame Street book, but I'm not sure.
