Complaining about the weather is a waste of time.
I am curious how is your weather? And how do you deal with it?
We have had 48-50 degree weather gray skies and rain for the past 20 days and I do not think it is over for quite a while yet...quite a while..maybe until the 4th of July ...Right Sheshy?
So why complain? Really it is not like we have any control ?
I mean so what if you leave for work and come home in the dark and cold?
So what if you do not have a window during your work day so all day every day you are light starved?
So what if the only thing people know to bring to work for snacks are bagels, donuts and candy?
So what if the only reminder that there is an "outside" is the pounding of rain on the roof of your work for the past 20 days?
So what if for some people this time of year is the busiest and most stressful?
I don't know about you but I am feeling a bit of cabin fever already!
It is so important to remember that you can embrace winter...for those of us who do not get to or really do not want to go play in the snow..what kind of options are there for getting "in to" the winter besides just making it to work and back?
there are wonderful things about where we live ...like for me it is only 50 degrees now and EVERYTHING IS GREEN ALL YEAR
.
I can still pick collard greens from my garden as well as all my herbs.
I can still feed the deer and woodpeckers the windfall apples I saved for them
and yesterday out my window I did see this tiny corner of sky before the sun went down last night...

...to the right is sky to the left is a thunderhead ..that baby dumped bucketsfull of rain!
Because there are so many great waterproof light weight layers you can wear ..rain is not an issue anymore..I am going to go for a nice short hike to see a waterfall
.. I mean why not? ..in the summer when it is warm and sunny they dry up a lot.. ..any waterfall I can get to this time of year has got to be spectacular with all this rain right???
Then tonight I am going to work on planning my 2 week trip to Central America
what do you do to help break the urge to hybernate?
I need more ideas myself this is only day 20!
