Re: How did you get your current job?

I sought employment for almost 3 months while working for a Temp Agency taking random assignments. I tried posting on job listing Websites, Mailing Out Resumes to companies I targeted, and taking interviews set up by the county job dept. referral service.

I ultimately got the job 'Pounding the Pavement' one day after 4pm and having already been to 4 different interviews that day, upon seeing a 3 line free classified ad for work that was less than a mile from my house. I just walked in, was interviewed, tested and hired the next day.

I can also say 'other' - I sell on Ebay and have yard sales.

I started out as a volunteer and made myself so indispensible, they couldn't get along without me. LOL. Twenty five years later, I retired.

I work with people from all over the world and love it.

And the best part? I have very flexible hours that DO NOT INTERFERE WITH MY RUNNING.

Wow! And eventually you'll be doing that from home? That is so cool!

I'd like to find a job like that here so I could work from home. It seems you could get so much more done without interruptions and it would be neat to make your own hours.

            Struggle, hard work, perseverence.
And then I had to give it up because we moved.

            Struggle, hard work, perseverence.
And I'm still looking for a permanent position.
