My hair has been au natural for the last 2 years - no color, no processing at all.

Right before New Years Eve I went in and got a full foil. I had them do red low-lights and golden blonde highlights

I'm low-maintenance in the shoe department too, believe it or not.

          Let's see....under 20 pairs.

Of course 4 of them are black heels. LOL

            Rich,

pah! you just don't have enough hair so there's no use in dyeing it (me neither...)

Funny, the last time I had hair this short (down fluff, really) was 36 years ago (and my 37th birthday is in May, so that should give you an idea).

Speaking of shoes... lemme count. 2 pairs of sneakers, one pair of sandals, one pair of black slippers & one pair brown suede moccassins - makes 5. How many pairs of shoes do YOU have? <evilgrin>

There is now a specific thread for shoes. I have even added one for handbags.......

Re: What do you do to your hair?

I highlight mine. Like someone said, it's curly so highlights are great. If I'm in the sun enough it highlights naturally, but I try to keep my face out of the sun which means my hair is usually under a hat. So, I have my hair stylist color it to look like a picture of me back when I was a lifeguard. Cheating? Maybe! But who cares!

(this was me the day after my last set of highlights)

                          hey knickknack....

You hair is very pretty! I have curlys too...but yours look so glossy and shiny.

Tell me, what shampoo/conditioner/products do you use? I want my curls to look like THAT!. Also, do you get foiled, or the cap?? I just never know how to go. I got the cap one time with all the holes, but it seemed overwhelming b/c my hair is dark....

                          Thanks for sharing the picture!

Re: What do you do to your hair?

I get the foils, definitely. And the highlight stuff has no peroxide in it, as my hair is very very thin. In the summer I don't even go under the hair dryer usually, for that matter.

I actually use super expensive conditioner - it's called kerastase, and it's hard to find if you don't live in a pretty big city. you can order it online I think, from britain or france. I use the Creme Richesse conditioner for thick hair (even though mine is fine). The shampoo I use is usually Nexxus Therappe, although right now i'm using a kerastase shampoo as well (only because I ran out of the other!).

When I'm not using that conditioner, I usually use the nexxus humectress conditioner.

My hair actually gets pretty frizzy and lank, it's not always that healthy and shiny looking - but when I get it cut that's what it does. It's really pretty for like a week. I wish i could afford to go more often! As a result I often straighten it, which is relatively easy and it tends to curl up and wave in interesting ways as well.

                            hope that helps!!

I've never dyed my hair. Its jet black. When I lived in arizona it wasn't as dark and had reddish highlights because of the sun.
two years in norway without the sun and then on my visit to arizona everyone was asking if I dyed my hair black. Nope! Just went back to its natural color and me likey!
