I was talking to Ladyinred who always mentions how bad her name is but never actually tells us her name. She's avoiding me as you can see.

I would have been William Curtis IV. Instead, my poor younger brother inherits it and now has the pressure to continue that name. We'll see!

That reminds me of the book Life with Father, by Clarence Day Jr. He had a similar complaint.

I would have been Thomas Alan. My brother got the name. Its after my Mom's first boyfriend. I'm named after the movie they saw together. Gosh, ya think she married the wrong guy or what!

I would have been Dustin Michael. My younger bro was supposed to get it, but dad was overseas so he got a Jr. to come home to, Then my younger sis had the nerve to be born a girl so she missed it too.

Re: What would you have been called

I never asked that before-but we tell our boy that if he would have been a girl he would have been named after his grandmothers. Both of them never used their "real" first name and went by their middle names. So, we tell him his name would have been Wilma Berdelia.

I was to be Philo Woodrow (great uncle) or Jon Ronald II. If I had been Philo, there would have been some major inheriting! As a girl, Fanny was considered for a great Aunt. THANK GOODNESS for dads going with Kimberly!

I would of been Jesse. My brother was born later and got the name...

My name would would of been Jessica but my dad instead named me one of the most popular names....Jennifer. Well my mom didnt like that so i have 3 names. Elizabeth Jennifer Janice (pronounced Jenice)...but i go by Jennifer only...since that's what my dad wanted. All my cousins and family used to just call me J.J.

After me and my brother, being called Richard (dick) and William (willy), Fanny is more than likely what my sister would have been called. (if I had had one)

Ah yes. We've had this fanny discussion before. And you still haven't heard "Fanny be tender with my love" by the Bee Gees Rich? Maybe it was banned in England?
