Teen beats up his grandmother - because she won't buy him beer

Bradenton, Florida -- Deputies say a 16-year-old has been arrested for beating his grandmother with a two-by-four for refusing to give him $100 for beer.

Charged is Kurt Cass of Hammock Drive, Bradenton.

Investigators say Cass went into his 60-year-old grandmother's bedroom Thursday and asked her for $100 for beer. When she refused, he allegedly placed a razor blade on her throat and demanded she take him to the bank to get the money, deputies said.

If you read the whole article, down at the bottom there is a note, the kids mother is in prison on cocaine charges and his father is in prison for murdering a prostitute! Sounds like he didn't stand much of a chance of amounting to anything from the get go!

I did see the note at the bottom. Farther proof that reproduction shouldnt be viewed as *right* but a privlidge that not all should get.

It is sad. Granted everyone makes their own decisions on how they act but how one is raised definately makes a difference. I think it is interesting how many grandmothers are raising their grandchildren. In many instances, they didn't do the parenting job right from the beginning so they are given their granchildren to mess them up too!
