  • On the flip: Really bad movies you've seen lately?

Dark Water-- They tried, they failed. I rewrote the ending, but it wouldn't have saved this film.

Fantastic Four. I loved the Ultimates comics of this fab quartet, so went into this knowing it was going to be rockem sockem robots. How about Ultimate Disaster? Stan Lee! what were you thinking? Cheese beyond cheese. No substance, poor writing, and the biggest disgrace to the Marvel name. (Well, since Elektra)

Just saw Life Aquatic with Bill Murray on DVD - what a waste of time... and I like Bill Murray

The up side to anger with Kevin Costner. What a waste of film.

I've been watching DVDs. So, I've been renting old movies.

The worst one so far is Stanley Kubrick's "Clockwork Orange".

I agree! This one completely sucked! I took my 4 year old to see it....when we got out he was crying and asked why I made him see it. I can't get him to go to the movies w/ me anymore thanks to this movie. That ones gonna cost me some therapy bills!!

The "Clockwork Orange" is a movie that had a tendency to fly over ones head. sorta like "One flew over the cookoos nest". I caught them both and they get 10's from me.

First off, I understand the moral/ethical message behind the movie. Whatever.

Kubrick's works are generally too ham-fisted and overwrought for my taste. In fact, for me they are so "elaborate" (not the best word to use, but I can't think of a better one at this time) that I begin to wonder "what's the point of watching this" because it becomes more of a chore (a distasteful chore) more than a pleasure.

"One Flew Over the Cuckoo's Nest"---good movie.

Sadie, if you're using IMDB.com's top 250 list....Let's see, I don't like "Duck Soup", "Life of Brian", "Spartacus", "Ground Hog Day", "A Night at the Opera", "Doctor Zhivago", "the Maltese Falcon", "The Matrix"
