No they didn't! That was one of the sloppiest worst Superbowls I've ever seen. The Seahawks played well through most of the game, but their mistakes made them look like they didn't deserve to be there. The clock mismanagement at the end of both halfs was unbelievable (I was rooting for the Hawks, BTW). Plus they got away from what was working in the beginning. Pittsburg just got lucky, they had no offense at all. Rothlesberger(sp?) had the lowest quarterback rating EVER of a superbowl winning QB, 22. Lower than his age for Pete's sake. The officiating and two trick plays gave the ring to the Steelers.

football is a team game and 60 min long with great defense you don't need to have a great game from your QB to win. Some losing teams have had great stats by their quarterback and got no ring to show for it.
I do have to agree about the clock management though and it was on both sides for the seahawks. When you are trying to get the ball abck for your offense you don't lay on the pile and try to get in the pile too. My mother kept hollering at the seahowks to get off the steeler boys at teh end but I was telling her no we want that cause the ball will not be marked ready for play till they all get off him. if you look at the play the steelers ran after the 4 min mark it took almost a min for them to get back lined up for the next play from the previous snap and then Ben still had time to run off the clock before the snap. I have never seen a defense behind taking so much time getting off the pile. I know they were trying to steal the ball but once he is down the ref isn't going to call a fumble just cause you stand up with the ball.by the book atkinseer

Bad first half, good second half. Both teams made a lot of mistakes...but...Steelers won. That's all that matters to this Pittsburgher.

yep and the BUS STOPPED IN DETROIT after seeing what all he has to go through on Mondays before 7AM after a game just to practice by Thursday I'm so happy for him. And talk about ironies. there was Hines Ward in tears last yr after the last game and this yr waving keys and biggest smile on his face.by the book atkinseer
